DHS Checkpoints in TN: No refusal, mandatory blood draws in effect this weekend

The TN Department of Homeland Security, in conjunction with the TN Highway Patrol, will be setting up checkpoints throughout Tennessee this weekend. If you are stopped at one of these checkpoints you will be asked for your papers, and likely administered a sobriety test which could include a forced blood sample!!! If you think you have nothing to worry about, keep in mind that TN DUI Officers have in the past have been warned to arrest more people “or else” which means they have every incentive to meet their quota. Once your blood and DNA is forcibly extracted from you it gets stored in a government database.

Here is the official release from the TN government -

https://news.tn.gov/node/10756

Here is a list of when and where the checkpoints will be located:

BE PREPARED!

Common Core- Girl Scouts patch for mastering national standards

Many years ago Juliette “Daisy” Gordon Low assembled 18 girls from Savannah, Georgia, on March 12, 1912, for a local Girl Scout meeting.

“She believed that all girls should be given the opportunity to develop physically, mentally, and spiritually.”

“With the goal of bringing girls out of isolated home environments and into community service and the open air, Girl Scouts hiked, played basketball, went on camping trips, learned how to tell time by the stars, and studied first aid.”

Today, I personally believe Mrs. Low is rolling in her grave as she witnesses the Girl Scouts being reformed into a liberal leftist organization that is satisfying the needs of the United Nations, The federal government, the Dept of Education, Dept of Homeland Security.

The “new” Girl Scouts under the tutelage of Anna Maria Chavez, a former Janet Napolitano stooge, a Dept of Homeland Security officer and a former board member of an organization that gave us STEM.

Under her leadership and partnerships with huge corporations and the Chamber of Commerce, the Girl Scouts have ventured into Common Core land and adopted standards just as our nations educational system has done.

Yes, you heard it correctly, the Girl Scouts are assisting with the nationalization of our schools via the the Common Core Standards and have adapted their “badge” designations to provide a legacy patch for fulfilling the standards.

As this Girl Scouts Common Core Standards Badge protocol has rolled out while awarding badges for completing the top down nationalization of our school standards the nation watches as one of the last mom and pop grassroots organizations have succumbed to governmental control.

http://www.girlscouts.org/program/national_program_portfolio/curriculum/pdf/brownies_Badges/CommonCore_brownies_Badges.pdf

The Girl Scouts delivered this paragraph on their website regarding their allegiance with national standards “sold” to our nation as a voluntary, state led effort.

“The Common Core Standards, developed and approved in 2010 by a bipartisan group of governors and educators, provide a shared framework for learning and teaching objectives specifically for English Language Arts and Mathematics for most US students. The 21st Century Skills standards focus on blending subject-skills with life and career skills; information, media, and technology skills; and other key skills necessary to develop multidimensional abilities to succeed in the new century. Financial Literacy standards correlate to national personal finance education.”

Why? Besides the new liberal bureaucratic leadership, I believe it is probably linked to present or past federal grants, scholarship money or corporate money. In my research, I have not found money switching hands but I’m sure it’s there or will be.

The depth of this move and the people involved you must look beyond the small groups assembled in most every community in this nation. The smaller groups, in my opinion, have been co-opted by a larger force hardly interested in what they think at the receiving end of this takeover.

As with many initiatives across this country and the vastness of these efforts, you must agree that the coordinated effort under a common theme has to be a part of a bigger picture. I don’t believe anyone can deny this and we need to look at the most common organization as the root to our nations demise.

The UNITED NATIONS and UNECOSOC have given Girl Scouts special Consultative Status to implement the 8 Millenium Development Goals, a well known Agenda 21 trap that many of our churches have fallen into as the UN sets up a scenario for a “One World Government with a One World Religion!”

With this information known and exposed it is easy to see why the Girl Scouts are on board to create “Global Citizens”, the new buzzword that essentially means we have handed over our children, our sovereignty and rights to international powers with a big plan with the assistance of many useful idiots on the inside.

http://www.girlscouts.org/who_we_are/our_partners/affiliates/

The 700 million dollar “corporation” has gotten too big. Yesterday, when I thought of the Girl Scouts I thought of thin mints and teaching girls how to become ladies exposing them to things outside of their homes. Today I see a very sad remnant of Mrs Lows vision developing into just another money hungry organization creating global citizens and being a pawn to the highest bidder. This is truly the saddest statement on our society when the Girl Scouts trade the thin mints for components of socialism.

With approximately 59 million Alumni of the Girl Scouts you can clearly see the need of international and federal agencies to indoctrinate this population.

Department of Education replacing “Mom and Dad with parent 1 and 2″ to halt gender roles

The U.S. Department of Education (DOE) has announced it will replace “gender specific terms like ‘mother’ and father’” in the 2014-2015 federal student aid form with neutral language.

The terms “mother” and “father” will no longer be used on the Federal Application for Student Aid.
The new language, “parent one” and “parent two,” is aimed at accommodating students who have grown up in gay households and have either two mothers or two fathers, according to a statement released by the DOE late last month.

“All students should be able to apply for federal student aid within a system that incorporates their unique family dynamics,” said U.S. Secretary of Education Arne Duncan in the press release.

The new language will “provide an inclusive form that reflects the diversity of American families,” he added.

According to Duncan, “gender-specific terms also fail to capture income and other information from one parent when a student’s parents are in a same-sex marriage under state law but not federally recognized under the Defense of Marriage Act.”

A spokesperson for the U.S. Department of Education did not return calls for comment from Campus Reform.

The Federal Application for Student Aid, or FAFSA, determines a student’s eligibility for federal student aid, according to the U.S. Department of Education.

Please visit the site above many times, it is chocked full of great information.

I’m curious, who will be parent number 1 and who will be parent number 2. Seems this delineates one to a lesser role?

A liberal wack a mole socialist agenda is coursing through our educational system and it must cease.

Why aren’t we focused on teaching the kids instead of trying to get them to change their whole thought process and comfort zone and adjust to someone else’s idea of how they think the world should be.

ABC’s, the three R’s, what ever happened to that?

If you choose an alternative lifestyle, so be it! Godspeed and may you live long and be prosperous.

My question is this, why should my children be asked to change the way they think because a few choose to do their thing?

Tennessee deserves better than this bloated budget mess

The Tennessee budget has been passed. The pork, the busted caps and excess spending limits have left many Tennesseans with a very bad taste in their mouths.

In what has been touted as a fiscally responsible, constitutionally intact budget has been determined to be quite the opposite.

As many of our elected leaders criticize Washington DC for financial irresponsibility we in Tennessee are doing the same thing. We have somehow placed a pink bow on a pig and we call it beautiful.

Despite what you hear, the budget for Tennessee is anything but beautiful. Take off the bow and look at it’s content.

Don’t get bedazzled by our legislators returning to their respective districts while blowing smoke right up your rear ends.

Having a budget that would make a liberal proud is not a good thing.

Please allow me to summarize what Mr Drew Johnson has so eloquently expressed in his opinion piece below about the Tennessee budget that was passed.

1) This is the largest, most bloated budget in Tennessees 217 year history.

2) Our legislators, en masse, voted to once again vote away the constitutional cap to allow our TN budget to become bloated.

3) At 32.8 billion, this is a full 2 billion more than last years budget.

4) The Constitutional Cap was lifted by 132.5 million.

5) This 132.5 million will be added to every budget from here to eternity costing taxpayers billions.

6) Instead of a tax holiday or further reduction in our taxes, your legislators and Governor elected to waste it on pork projects, millions of dollars worth.

7) The legislators did provide some cuts in this budget of about 7.00 per person. I’ll just take my seven dollars, buy a 12 pack of a choice beverage and my benefit will long be forgotten.

Opinion piece by Drew Johnson from the Chattanooga Times:

Tennessee deserved better from GOP budget-busters

Tennessee’s Republican state lawmakers must think we’re stupid.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have bragged about passing a “balanced budget,” as state Sen. Ken Yager, R-Harriman; state Rep. Kevin Brooks, of Cleveland; and a number of other GOP lawmakers did last week.

And they never would’ve implied that new state budget was “thoughtful and strategic” like Gov. Bill Haslam did last Friday. And they certainly would never have called the budget “fiscally responsible” as House Speaker Beth Harwell did with a straight face in a guest op-ed in The Tennessean.

Did these Republican leaders think Tennesseans would forget that the State Constitution requires a balanced budget?

Did these supposed “fiscal conservatives” believe that taxpayers wouldn’t realize that they just passed the biggest, most bloated budget in the 217-year history of the Volunteer State?

Did they hope that no one would notice their hypocrisy when they voted to bust the state’s cap on spending after they spent much of the legislative session championing ideas intended to strengthen the spending limit?

At $32.8 billion, the new state budget is the largest in Tennessee’s history. It’s a full $2 billion more than last year’s budget.

But that’s not the worst of it for taxpayers.

The state portion of the state budget — the chunk of the budget paid for by revenues from state taxes, such as the sales tax, franchise and excise tax, state gas tax, and the Hall income tax — is limited by the Tennessee Constitution. State spending is limited based on the personal income growth in the state over the previous year. That spending limit, known as the “Copeland Cap,” can only be overridden by a majority vote of both houses of the legislature.

With a Republican supermajority in the Tennessee General Assembly, taxpayers must have believed that GOP lawmakers wouldn’t dare vote to bust the cap and spend more than they were constitutionally allowed. But they did — by $132.5 million.

When the state coffers began filling with more money than expected, rather than returning the excess tax dollars to taxpayers by further reducing the sales tax on groceries or enacting several sales tax holidays, lawmakers decided to waste it.

Out of 132 members of the Tennessee General Assembly, only seven voted against busting the spending cap. Even state Rep. Courtney Rogers, R-Goodlettsville, who sponsored a constitutional amendment to make the cap much more difficult to bypass, voted to exceed the spending limit. So much for principles. So much for fiscal conservatism.

That $132.5 million isn’t just a one-year expenditure. Since each year’s spending cap is based on total state spending from the previous year, the $132.5 million will be added to every state budget from here to eternity. Republicans’ decision to bust the cap will ultimately cost state taxpayers billions upon billions of dollars.

So how did Republicans in the Tennessee legislature spend the extra money they collected from the pockets of Tennesseans? A number of questionable pork projects found their way into the budget at the last minute, including:

• $1 million for grants to private zoos and aquariums in the state.

• $1 million in handouts to refurbish the Lorraine Civil Rights Museum Foundation.

• $475,000 to fund a State Museum Task Force to look at building a new State Museum.

• $400,000 in additional funding for the Jackson Theater in Jonesborough.

• $310,000 to build a storage shed at the West Tennessee Cemetery in Memphis.

• $125,000 to spread among Tennessee’s public television stations.

• $50,000 to the Alex Haley House and Museum.

• $20,000 in giveaways to National Coalition of 100 Black Women chapters in the state.

Did the budget do some good things? Sure, lawmakers passed a number of tax cuts. But, in total, those tax cuts amount to less than $7 per Tennessean, or approximately diddly-squat.

For years, Republicans in Tennessee promised that if they ran state government things would be different. The budget would be lean, spending would be responsible and the state spending cap would remain intact.

Well, now the GOP is in control, and what happened? They spent more than Democrats ever did.

After such a dramatic display of fiscal irresponsibility by GOP lawmakers, conservatives in Tennessee must be thinking, “With Republicans like these, who needs Democrats?”

Common Core-P20 SLDS, a tracking system for your child

SLDS means: Statewide Longitudinal Data Systems.

SLDS is a citizen tracking program, and a grant program, that rewards states financially for participating. It’s also called P-20, which stands for preschool through age 20 (workforce) tracking. I see citizen tracking as creepy and Orwellian. What do you see?

The federal website shows, here–

http://www2.ed.gov/programs/slds/factsheet.html

— that SLDS was presented as a financial prize to states, a grant, under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. It sounded good, but in reality, its purpose –besides the uneven redistribution of taxpayers’ money– is to track citizens (students).

The assumption was that everyone everywhere would approve of citizen tracking and would want to be tracked. A secondary assumption is that the government’s holding detailed, intimate information about its citizens would never be used against anybody wrongly, and that none of this has nothing to do with constitutional rights to privacy. (For more on that, click here:

http://law2.umkc.edu/faculty/projects/ftrials/conlaw/rightofprivacy.html )

I highlighted the first element of data to be collected because it speaks about PII, personally identifiable information. PII can be a name, a social security number, a blood sample, handwriting sample, a fingerprint, or almost anything else. The fact that the government included “except as permitted by federal/state law” is VERY significant because the federal Department of Education did the dastardly deed of changing federal privacy law, known previously as the protective, family-empowering, FERPA law. The Department of Education did this without Congressional approval and are now being sued by the Electronic Privacy Information Center for doing it. But as it stands now, FERPA has been altered and won’t be put back to its formerly protective state. So parental rights over children’s data, and parental consent rules, have been cast aside. –All in the name of getting lots and lots and lots of data available, whether with malignant or benign intention, especially for federal use.

Here it is, pasted directly from the government site and available in English or Spanish:

en Español

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act: $250 million

Grantees: States

Type of Grant: Competitive

Purpose:

The program provides grants to states to design, develop, and implement statewide P-20 longitudinal data systems to capture, analyze, and use student data from preschool to high school, college, and the workforce.

Program Requirements:

Since it started in fiscal year 2005, the program has awarded grants worth $265 million to 41 states and the District of Columbia. The Recovery Act competition requires that the data systems have the capacity to link preschool, K-12, and postsecondary education as well as workforce data. To receive State Fiscal Stabilization Funds, a state must provide an assurance that it will establish a longitudinal data system that includes the 12 elements described in the America COMPETES Act, and any data system developed with Statewide longitudinal data system funds must include at least these 12 elements. The elements are:

An unique identifier for every student that does not permit a student to be individually identified (except as permitted by federal and state law);
The school enrollment history, demographic characteristics, and program participation record of every student;
Information on when a student enrolls, transfers, drops out, or graduates from a school;
Students scores on tests required by the Elementary and Secondary Education Act;
Information on students who are not tested, by grade and subject;
Students scores on tests measuring whether they’re ready for college;
A way to identify teachers and to match teachers to their students;
Information from students’ transcripts, specifically courses taken and grades earned;
Data on students’ success in college, including whether they enrolled in remedial courses;
Data on whether K-12 students are prepared to succeed in college;
A system of auditing data for quality, validity, and reliability; and
The ability to share data from preschool through postsecondary education data systems.

BCN Editorial and summation:

An excerpt from the web site below:

http://www.tn.gov/firsttothetop/programs-data.html

“Many conditions in addition to students’ academic experience influence learning and the Tennessee Department of Education will bolster the current longitudinal data system by adding information from other child serving agencies like the Tennessee Department of Children’s Services to inform best practices and help reduce achievement gaps in the near- and long-term.”

This is a compilation of sensitive information, from different federal agencies, being placed in your child’s P 20 database, to follow him or her into adulthood, possibly contributing to an influence on their job hunt with eventual prospective employers.

It used to be water under the bridge if your child was unfortunately molested, abused or had some behavioral type problem. It used to be hopeful that enough time would elapse between the event and adulthood and the issue would be long dealt with and forgotten.

Today, with the assistance of the P20 database, this information will follow your child well into adulthood and be in full display for every teacher and employer to view and make employment decisions based on this data.

The site further explains,
“Tennessee will build a longitudinal student data system that will push the frontier in collection and utilization of P20 data and promote improvements in program administration and educational outcomes. The initiative will significantly increase teacher, school, and district-level use of near-real time student data by employing sophisticated, as yet underutilized longitudinal data for predictive and retrospective identification of student achievement growth and academic risk factors.”

Perhaps the P20 will get as invasive as Common Core amasses large amounts of personal information about students. Michelle Malkin cites research by Joy Pullmann of the Heartland Institute, who discovered a report by the Department of Education revealing that Common Core’s data mining includes “using cameras to judge facial expressions, an electronic seat that judges posture, a pressure-sensitive computer mouse and a biometric wrap on kids’ wrists.”

“Pushing the frontier”, “real time data”, “as yet underutilized data collection.” This tells me that many, yet not mentioned data points will be collected on your child. Perhaps, religious affiliation, blood type, DNA map, fingerprints or parents affiliations or political leanings. I don’t know but the “frontier” is wide open and once established the sky could be the limit.

BCN Editorial:

Mr Martin Ringstaff you are wrong on so many levels about Common Core.

You have been delivered perhaps a federal, State, Haslam issued talking points and you are sticking to script.

You have the appearance of being a total puppet or useful idiot of the federally directed program called Common Core that is ultimately nationalizing our states and local school systems.

Your many blunders in the recent article in the banner speaks volumes of your ability to follow marching orders.

We the people, we the legislators, we our representatives did not “vote” for Common Core.

In 2009, President Obama, created a stimulus package with taxpayer dollars to “get the economy going” and from that allocated around 4.3 billion or so for RTTT, Race To The Top.

You, the state and it’s many bureaucrats were asked to bid, jump through hoops to get this money, a sort of competition. Everyone likes competition, right?

The starting pistol sounded and the race to the top or bottom however you choose to look at it has started.

You put your beat foot forward and several stages later you were awarded a federal grant of 501 million to initiate RTTT.

With only dollar signs in your eyes you forgot to look and see what was was inside this neatly wrapped package.

In fact, very few if any knew Common Core was tucked in it and gulped down by useful idiots only because the taste of money overpowered the urge to see it’s content.

You accepted Common Core, sight unseen, because at the time of your acceptance, the Common Core standards had not even been completed and signed off when the check was written. Was this purposeful? I’ll let you decide.

Tucked neatly and discreetly inside was only the mention of new standards, very little mention of Common Core or what it entailed.

This was mainly because so many on the board that issues the standards of Common Core would not sign off on them because they were convinced they would not work and get the results desired.

Mr Martin Ringstaff, and Dawn Robinson you are wrong on so many levels.

I received this well written letter to the editor of Bradley County News and have elected print it’s content, unedited.

This encourages me greatly that many within our community are starting to awaken to what our county, city and state leaders are doing to our community and our children.

It is obvious to me and as our thorough research deepens we can clearly see who the puppets and useful idiots are of our federal government.

As the facts are exposed and the dust clears you can begin to see that many of our local city, county and state led representatives have their arms extended through the fog interlocking with the federal government as they attempt to nationalize our education and take over the minds of our children through indoctrination.

Let history be the marker and all involved be held accountable for this federal takeover of our state educational system.

When the chips fall, and they are crumbling fast, let these leftist stand alone with the blood soaked grant money they received for the minds of our children.

Allow me to finish with this thought in mind. Ponder these few questions, please.

Who is responsible for bringing this to Bradley County and our state?

What vote is Mr Ringstaff and Mrs Robinson talking about? Clearly, they assume that state legislators or an elected representative did vote on it, that did not happen. It was a bidding war for stimulus money. NO VOTE was cast that I am aware of by my State Representative!

Who is vested in this endeavor? Clearly, adjusting the curriculum to the needs of big business makes me wander and guess to the extent of the Chamber of Commerces, a lap dog for the UN, involvement in this endeavor.

Is getting rid of reading literature and adjusting to reading of “technical manuals” going to keep the interest of our children and optimize their learning?

Will reducing our learning standards from the current ”135 to less than 50″ Common Core Standards really going to heighten our learning experience?

Why are we not addressing parents in this issue? In the Banner article that started this conversation, Mr Ringstaff did not mention one time the parents and if I recall correctly he did not mention the students as it pertained to their well being. Something is rotten here and it does smell good.

Why are our concerns, many emails and phone calls not being returned when we are inquiring about Common Core.

I have seen one email from Mr Ringstaff where he dismissed the revealed research as “propaganda” and an article to the Banner about his visit to the Rotary, a UN representative, an NGO or Non Governmental Organization of the United Nations.

I will complete my editorial here and ask you to read the words below very carefully and see the concern of this citizen, taxpayer who is very concerned about the direction that Mr Ringstaff and Mrs Robinson are taking our children in exchange for federal grant money.

LETTER TO THE EDITOR:

Dear Martin Ringstaff and Dawn Robinson,

I read the article recently published in the Banner in which you addressed the Rotary Club on the subject of Common Core.

You paint a very positive picture for the future of education in Cleveland and all of Tennessee because of this new set of standards and the curriculum that will be brought in to align itself with these new standards.

I have read many things on Common Core as well as other education systems that are being implemented around the country.

I am sure you would disagree with a lot of that analysis that I have studied and would just dismiss it off hand so I promise I won’t bother to argue my points using these sources.

I find local officials are quick to be dismissive and not engage in debate because they don’t like the sources of information rather than deal with the substance of the information presented. I know this from experience. However my most typical response in none at all. This being the case, I will argue my points strictly from your own words as presented in this article.

The very first thing I noticed in this article is that the word “parent” is nowhere to be found; not even the slightest hint of a reference is ever brought into consideration.

It is very clear from my research (sorry I said I wasn’t going to do that) and from this article that parents are completely left out of this process and their consent was never sought in any of this.

Who is in control and driving this? I can certainly refer to my research and rattle off the names of government agencies, think tanks, foundations and major corporations but that would violate the promise I made to you at the very beginning of this e-mail. To answer that question let’s refer to your article to provide the answer:

1. State Leadership Council. Who are they? Apparently there are 22 of you arguing details. Did we elect these people as our representatives? No we did not.

According to this article, this group is charged with the task of “working through the transition” to Common Core so they are certainly not objective and independent.

2. K-12 Educators, College Educators. Again, a generic name to given to create the illusion of approval.

I challenge you to have one of your teachers go to the Banner and make their own personal, stirring, passionate case for the need of Common Core from their own heart.

On the other hand, I know several teachers who are at minimum shaking their heads and at maximum making plans to exit the profession because of what this represents. Concerning college “educators”; Are you really trying to tell me that literature professors are begging you to make students read menus, technical manuals and speeches instead of Homer, Gibbon, Dickens, Longfellow, Tolstoy, Dostoyevsky, and Shakespeare?

Are you telling me that math and science professors are begging you to strip away the already bare minimum content of Euclidean geometry and physical science classes to allow for more writing and critical thinking skills to be taught during that class time?

3. Here is the best one that really gets me; Business leaders. This may be just me, but I do not care less about the opinions of business leaders as to what they think my child needs to learn in kindergarten. They have no right to dictate that we change our historic liberal arts education system into their own personnel workforce development racket. This is just another example of corporations transferring their costs (in this case it is employee training and development) to the taxpayer.

Don’t you see how the local school systems have been cheated out of money and made to go beg to the state and federal government for funding just for their very existence?

Do you not understand that all the PILOT agreements/tax abatements to corporations and now the new tool of tax increment financing pose an ever increasing threat to our tax base and ultimately school funding?

In this state, the school board has no voice on these decisions on whether to enter into these agreements. In some states you do.

Do not believe the lie that the school portion of taxes is protected in these agreements. The city of Cleveland as well as the county have run up massive amounts of debt over the last 20 years. Ask these mayors, city council members, county commissioners and members of the local industrial development board why these agreements with corporations haven’t produced budget surpluses? I have asked them. They won’t answer me. Maybe they will answer you. (Warning: broken promise ahead!!)

If you would like a copy of an NEA study on the effects of tax abatements on school funding, I would be happy to give that to you.
Sorry, I got off topic.

In summary, these corporations have taken our money to build their plants, buy their equipment, pay portions of their employees wages through tax credits and now they want to use our money and our K-12 and our universities to be their own personnel training grounds for equipment operators, quality technicians, and other general plant workers and supervisors?

I say train your own workers with your own money and stay out of education which should belong and be accountable to parents and students alone.

You say “it is not a mandatory, nationally driven, “you have to do it or else” kind of situation”. Really?

You would have me to believe that the federal government just handed Tennessee $501,000,000 with no strings attached???

There was nothing in the Race to the Top application process in which you agreed to implement these standards sight unseen?

There was nothing that Lamar Alexander had to agree to in order to get us out of the consequences of not being able to meet the requirements of No Child Left Behind? I need help to believe that but I am certainly willing to listen.

In closing I never really made the case for what is wrong with Common Core in and of itself? I will do that now.

- What you described is outcome based education principles. How will that help translate into the real world?

How would you like to be on the operating table and have an outcome based surgeon? Will you give them credit for 85% of the operation being done right?

Would you get on a plane with an outcome based pilot? Would you give him a passing grade for missing the runway by only 200 yards?

How about outcome based dentistry?

Outcome based accounting?

I can go on but I hope you get my point: You are directing children toward mediocrity.

When your aim is mediocrity you end up a total failure. We don’t accept this anywhere else, why do so in education?

- You are robbing the youngest student of the joy of learning at a time that they are the most teachable just for the sake of utilitarianism. They are not being taught anymore; They will now be trained and assessed. You will direct them toward a predetermined career path by an extremely early age when I personally would council a person to not ever worry about what you want to be before the end of your second year of college. Obviously we differ on that point.

- The removal of great books for “relevant” non-fiction. What is wrong with that? I am not a very smart person but let someone who is answer this question.

In The Closing of the American Mind, By Dr. Allan Bloom he says these things that I pulled out that text:

“It is not merely the tradition that is lost when the voice of civilization elaborated over millennia has been stilled in this way. It is being itself that vanishes beyond the dissolving horizon”.

“As the awareness that we owed almost exclusively to literary genius falters, people become more alike, for want of knowing they can be otherwise”.

“Thus the failure to read good books both enfeebles the vision and strengthens our most fatal tendency – the belief that the here and now is all there is.”

To all on this e-mail. You did not start us down this road. It has been going on a long time but I believe Common Core represents the final death nail in the coffin of our educational journey in our nation.

Please consider these words and consider the ramifications of this system to future generations.

Thank you,

The Boston bombers “they seemed like such nice guys”

Editorial note of BCN:

When I read about the “bombers”, I keep hearing apologist and the politically correct search for a million reasons why not to blame the person who did this dastardly deed. They attempt to understand how a “nice guy” could do such an evil act without provocation, bypassing the obvious.

The reason many talking heads in the news outlets cannot wrap their heads around why “such nice guys” could do such “bad things” is because they do not understand the teachings, doctrine and nature of Islam.

This is what they do!

Jihad is the ultimate physical/spiritual experience that advances these “nice folks” to the next level bypassing judgement by Allah. It’s a free pass to eternal bliss with many rewards and gifts.

By accepting the teachings of the Koran, Sura, Sunna, Sharia and Hadith they are obeying their commands and teachings. They are in line with their beliefs and are being devout islamists.

Understanding Jihad goes way beyond doing an evil act from a once nice guys. It is the ultimate experience for a devout Islamist. Killing a Kafir, a non believer, it is the goal and is much lauded but should be condemned.

Political Correctness allows this fact to be hidden and the truth disallowed.

Interestingly, try to find one Islamic leader who will condemn these recent acts in Boston that resulted in hundreds of injuries, deaths and amputations of men, women and children, sadly it appears it is not going to happen and to my knowledge has never happened publicly.

You would think it would be extremely easy for a ”religious” or “spiritual” leader to quickly take the opportunity to denounce these evil men and their acts, but not Islamist leaders.

An action resulting in a public apology would be an insult to Islam, perhaps blasphemous and would quickly lead to the ouster of this leader resulting in millions of likeminded “nice folks” to rise up against him. A public stoning or beheading would surely be in his near future, resulting in his demise.

What a fantastic opportunity it could have been for the millions of believers of Islam to take the world stage, take the high road and condemn these recent actions, to assist in making a terrible wrong a little right.

Nope, not gonna happen, because it’s what they are supposed to do, Jihad is their duty and is commanded of them.

Something is awry with our blind acceptance of this concept and our hiding of the brutal truth.

Drop the political correctness and call it what it really is, a horrendous mass murder, an act of terror by devout believers of Islam, you know, the “nice guys!”

He Seemed Like Such a Nice Guy
by Bill Warner:

The news is filled with comments made by people who knew the Boston Marathon bombers that they were “nice”, regular people. They cannot believe that the Tsarnaev brothers could be violent. This is not the first time we have heard such observations, but there is an added dimension. What happened was not just violence, but jihad.

By jihad I mean “kill the Kafir” (non-Muslim), not the spiritual struggle that the apologists for Islam like to bring up. To be fair, there is a mention of jihad as spiritual struggle, but it is insignificant. As one measure, Bukhari collected the most important traditions of Mohammed called Hadith. Out of 7000 of these traditions, about 1500 of them are about jihad. Of these 1500 jihad hadiths, over 1400 are about “kill the Kafir” jihad and only a few or so are about jihad as spiritual struggle. This indicates Mohammed thought that jihad as war was much more important than jihad as spiritual struggle.

Mohammed preached the religion of Islam for 13 years in Mecca and converted only a 150 people. He was driven out of Mecca and went to Medina. In Medina he became a politician, jihadist and warlord. He averaged a jihad event on the average of 1 every 6 weeks and as a result every Arab was converted to Islam. The religion of Islam was a failure, but politics and jihad triumphed absolutely. Mohammed talked a lot about jihad, because it worked.

The important factor here is that Mohammed is believed to be the perfect Muslim. The Koran says so over 90 times. If the perfect Muslim is a jihadi, and Allah loves a jihadi, then jihad is a sacred act. That means that the Tsarnaev brothers had an internal guidance system provided by Islamic jihad doctrine.

The Tsarnaev jihadi brothers were not violent for personal gain. They were the manifestation in the world of the hand of Allah. Angels support them. The archangel Gabriel was a jihadi against the Jews. Jihadis do not kill settling a personal grudge. Jihadis are to harm Kafirs because Allah hates the Kafirs and plots against them. The Kafirs offend Allah by their rejection of Islam.

Being a jihadi is not a personality disorder; it is not a psychosis or even a neurosis. Jihad is the supreme spiritual ecstasy of human experience. The jihadist is greeted by the angels and his wounds carry him across judgment day to the supreme heaven. The jihadist martyr is taken directly to paradise without Allah’s final judgment.

The jihadist brothers were “nice”, because deception is the heart of Islam’s dualistic ethics. The shortest hadith is only 3 words: “war is deceit,” says Mohammed. When Mohammed sent out an assassin against a Jewish poet, he said for the assassin to use deceit to get close to the Jew in order to kill him. Mohammed advised deceit if it advanced Islam for there is no Golden Rule in Islam.

But the main reason that the Tsarnaevs were “nice” is that they only started to truly embrace Islam in the past two years. Tamerlan began to pray 5 times a day and become more religious. Before the immersion in Islam, they could actually be a friend to a Kafir. The Koran has 12 verses that say the Muslim can be friendly with a Kafir, but he is never truly their friend. A Muslim is a brother only to another Muslim, never a Kafir. So after becoming religious, they were no longer the true friend of any Kafir.

Bottom line: the measure of a Muslim is not whether they are “nice” but how closely they follow the doctrine of Islam. The media will be filled for the next few weeks about how nice most Muslims are. Remember that every Muslim is bound by the entire Islamic doctrine. A good Muslim must accept all of the Koran, Sunna or Sharia, which includes jihad. All Muslims must believe in jihad if they believe in Islam. They may choose not to follow it, but jihad is always there.

Common Core: RNC/GOP passes resolution against “one size fits all” nationalized education curriculum

This week the RNC, the Republican National Committee, passed a resolution to stop Common Core during their annual spring meeting in California.

In what can be best be described as a top down federally mandated curriculum with communistic ties and a push to socialize our country by taking over the minds of our children, the RNC has delivered a devastating, if not fatal, blow to the Obamas, Ayers, Gates, Duncan nationalized curriculum.

Many parents, bloggers, concerned citizens, certain legislators and activists have done an excellent job of bringing to light the evils of this education mandate and have hopefully spearheaded its eventual death.

The mainstream media, the major news channels and the Department of Education have avoided this story like the plague and have reported or commented on it rarely, if any.

With all the sad unfortunate bombings and ricin mailings eating up the airways, the Common Core mandate has suffered a silent major blow with very little reporting.

While many in the mainstream have chosen to ignore this resolution the blogosphere and everyday mouth to mouth reporting outlets have gotten the information to the masses.

The RNC has stepped up in a major way, now is the time to use our grassroots synergy to spur and create change at the state levels, thus influencing the entire nation.

Our combined efforts to stop Common Core has been tremendous and continued pressure is needed.

The local grassroots activist must continue to expose this attempt by our own government and globalist of this elaborate coup and takeover of our educational system and the minds of our children.

Continue to talk to each other, spread the information and demand that our elected representatives get their hands out of the federal pie.

Let’s allow the free market and parents to direct our children’s curriculum, not federal mandates with plenty of implementation money.

In Tennessee, particularly Bradley County, this “change of mind” will be extremely hard to do considering we have an ultra liberal progressive Governor, Senators, Legislators and local representatives that accepted a 500 million dollar bribe for the roll out of RTTT with acceptance and implementation of Common Core, sight unseen.

Many within this group will do whatever the Governor requests or demands, so letting our liberal Governor know you are unhappy may be a great place to start then work your way down to the local level.

Attend school board, council or commission meetings and let the administrators know that Common Core is not acceptable for our children.

This willing marriage to a huge federal grant for a mandate is a terrible precedent to establish and is sadly driving the decision making throughout the country at all levels.

Common Core and its removal by our elected reps will be difficult but not impossible.

As public opinion shifts, pressure mounts and parents become aware of it’s dangers, change will come.

Tn Governor Bill Haslam and his many state, local lap dogs and useful idiots will stand firm initially because of personal pride but the real results can come as you let them know you want Common Core and it’s implementation and further funding stopped immediately in your community.

Hearing their constituency send a strong message can change their ways. Fear of surrendering their coveted and prosperous elected seat may awaken them to this federal takeover of our educational system and provoke change.

I know many will not dare stand tall against their own party recommendations as this may spur the RNCs failure to support them come time for a re-election bid. The breech has been softened, time to attack.

The Resolution to stop Common Core by the RNC:

RESOLUTION CONCERNING COMMON CORE EDUCATION STANDARDS

WHEREAS, the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are a set of academic standards, promoted and supported by two private membership organizations, the National Governor’s Association (NGA) and the Council of Chief State School Officers (CCSSO) as a method for conforming American students to uniform (“one size fits all”) achievement goals to make them more competitive in a global marketplace, (1.) and

WHEREAS, the NGA and the CCSSO, received tens of millions of dollars from private third parties to advocate for and develop the CCSS strategy, subsequently created the CCSS through a process that was not subject to any freedom of information acts or other sunshine laws, and never piloted the CCSS, and

WHEREAS, even though Federal Law prohibits the federalizing of curriculum (2.), the Obama Administration accepted the CCSS plan and used 2009 Stimulus Bill money to reward the states that were most committed to the president’s CCSS agenda; but, they failed to give states, their legislatures and their citizens time to evaluate the CCSS before having to commit to them, and

WHEREAS, the NGA and CCSSO in concert with the same corporations developing the CCSS ‘assessments’ have created new textbooks, digital media and other teaching materials aligned to the standards which must be purchased and adopted by local school districts in order that students may effectively compete on CCSS ‘assessments’, and

RESOLVED, the 2012 Republican Party Platform specifically states the need to repeal the numerous federal regulations which interfere with State and local control of public schools, (p36) (3.); and therefore, the Republican National Committee rejects this CCSS plan which creates and fits the country with a nationwide straitjacket on academic freedom and achievement.

Common Core: 30 years of progressive education reform led by Bill Ayers

Ayers and his fellow “reformers” are to Dewey what Lenin was to Marx.

Marx was an intellectual who wished to undermine Western civilization.

Lenin was a thug who sought to bring Marxist principles into full practice through propaganda, armed revolution, and sophisticated lies.

Likewise, Dewey hated American liberty and individualism and wished to undermine them through socialist education.

Ayers is Dewey’s less civilized, more “practically minded” disciple.

http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2013/02/american-education-rotting-the-country-from-the-inside-2571798.html

On the homefront:

In Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam with an assist from Achieve, Inc are the patsies being used locally to deliver the forbidden fruit to our children!”

Governor Bill Haslam is being handed the baton of progressive education called Common Core for the state of Tennessee. He has willingly, proudly and actively accepted this challenge.

I doubt he knows or even cares to know Bill Ayers. But one thing is for sure he is assisting him at least indirectly in it’s implementation.

His past, at least formally, with Mayor Bloomberg of New York and Multi-Billionaire Bill Gates of Microsoft, a puppet of UNESCO and a huge catalyst and contributor of hundreds of millions to Common Core and it tenets at least shows he is a willing and knowledgable host, if not a conspiring puppet.

This evolvement of a pedagogical educational system which started with John Dewey has shaped into what we now call Common Core.

For more than 30 years this gradual ascent to Common Core has come directly from the mind of terrorist, anti American, Anti Capitalist, Communist Bill Ayers and is now being passed to our children by willing Governors who will gladly take a few dollars to implement federal mandates for a complete overhaul of our school system.

The originator of this process was masterminded by John Dewey and completed by Bill Ayers and his proteges.

Today Bill Haslam, as others, are pushing the implementation of Common Core in Tennessee for a 500 million dollar bribe under the guises of RTTT and under the watchful eye of Achieve.

Governor Haslam, using his board position on Achieve, a leftist, big money think tank and lobby front for Common Core is definitely forging the path for our children’s minds in Tennessee. Many other Governors across the nation are also participating.

This is not just a benign program only being presented in our state and across the nation as a way to “assist” our states to perform better on standardized tests.

It is a deliberate and intentional step to take over the minds of our children and prepare them for thinking and functioning inside a global world where socialism and the needs of the collective are the accepted norm and are expected above and beyond their own needs thus completing the works of John Dewey and his disciple Bill Ayers.

A world where capitalism does not exist as a means of economic growth or stability.

A world where all Americans are on a level playing field, no reward for high achievers, just a recognition that your ability to rise above others is a form of social injustice.

I recently stumbled upon this 30 or so year history while researching this takeover of our educational system by the Feds and communists.

This artful and skillfully put together history was the creation of Danette Clark, a blogger and further enhanced by this blog.

Many have asked me recently “Can you make a connection to Bill Ayers and Common Core and can you correlate that with the origins of Common Core?” I believe I have managed to do that.

The following is that link, that progression to what today is known as Common Core with assorted references to support these claims.

Our state and nation is at an extremely pivotal turning point.

The acceptance of Common Core into our public schools by progressives, communists and globalist is completely unacceptable.

The Top down federal nationalism of our school system is a tragedy and this indoctrination called Common Core must be stopped.

I believe we are one generation, one term, perhaps 4 to 10 years from being a Socialist country. The tool will be our children and the education they are now receiving.

The Socialists and Communists have perfected the tool, the program, the curriculum, the standards, the indoctrinating tool now evolved into and known as Common Core.

The indoctrination program is underway and being implemented in our schools today.

I realize I may not convince you of this indoctrination with one blog, I do encourage you to take a few minutes, read it and make your own decisions based on this information.

The decision to know it exists but not acknowledge it’s origins and intent is completely up to you. I prefer to look further than on the surface.

The History

The Coalition of Essential Schools (CES), a progressive education reform model rooted in the pedagogy of Paulo Freiere and John Dewey, was started by Theodore Sizer in 1984.

http://www.essentialschools.org/resources/69

CES was originally housed in Brown University. In 1993, the Annenberg Institute for School Reform was established at Brown, with Theodore Sizer as its first director. The institute built on the work of Sizer’s Coalition of Essential Schools with a mission to expand that work to schools across the country.

In 1996, the Annenberg Foundation launched the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) education initiative, which was led in part by Bill Ayers. At the time, Ayers was already working with a Coalition of Essential Schools affiliate organization in Chicago.

(The Wall Street Journal connects the dots.)

http://m.us.wsj.com/articles/a/SB122212856075765367?mg=reno64-wsj

Ayers appointed Obama as CAC board chairman and over the next few years, they invested millions into the expansion of Sizer’s CES schools.

http://mobile.wnd.com/2008/09/76022/

Ayers’ Small Schools Workshop also received Annenberg money to aid in transforming existing schools into CES member schools (also referred to as ‘small schools’, ‘smaller learning communities’, ’small autonomous schools’ and ‘schools within a school’). Ayers and his organization provided curriculum resources, hands-on professional development, and grant development.

(Even Jared Lee Loughner attended one of Bill Ayers “small school projects”)

http://mobile.wnd.com/2011/01/249429/

A total of $500 million was donated by Annenberg nationwide, providing the first big boost to the expansion of CES schools. The most recent boost is Common Core.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago_Annenberg_Challenge

In between, CES schools received heavy funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Soros’ Open Society Institute, Carnegie Corporation, and through CSR, Title 1, and smaller learning community grants from the U.S. Department of Education.

http://www.gatesfoundation.org/What-We-Do/US-Program/College-Ready-Education

CES (likely under the advice of experienced community organizers, Barack Obama and Bill Ayers) recruited ACORN workers to manipulate and elbow their way onto local school councils and scream for reform. Chicago ACORN was paid to identify and train community members to become teachers in CES schools.

http://www.nationalledger.com/news-tech/the-barack-obama-william-ayers-145570.shtml

Acorn Woodland Elementary, Oakland, CA
Established in 2000 by ACORN and the Coalition of Essential Schools

Today, CES is a nationwide network of almost 3,000 schools, all of which are provided curriculum material, professional development training, and staff support through CES regional training centers and partner universities. CES uses the Annenberg Institute “as a forum for sharing resources and amassing political weight”. Read more about CES growth and structure below.

http://www.essentialschools.org/resources/43

The Evidence

So with CES behind CSCOPE, and Linda Darling Hammond, a long time board member and disciple of CES schools, behind Common Core, does this mean Common Core is as bad as CSCOPE?

For those who don’t necessarily agree that one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch, how about several bad apples?

After reading Michelle Malkin’s recent article that places Achieve, Inc. behind Common Core, the dots finally began to connect.

http://michellemalkin.com/2013/03/01/rotten-to-the-core-part-iii-lessons-from-texas-and-the-growing-grassroots-revolt/

Linda Darling Hammond isn’t the only Common Core developer whose roots are firmly planted in the progressive agenda of the Coalition of Essential Schools.

Not only is Achieve, Inc. made up of several CES/Annenberg foot soldiers, it was literally established through an (unofficial) partnership of the National Governors Association and the Annenberg Institute.

(Our very own Governor Bill Haslam is on this board. The board has been involved all the way back to 1996. Coincidentally this progressive was also on the very liberal Mayor Bloombergs Coalition of Mayors Against Illegal Guns, but resigned in 2009 and joined the NRA….hypocritical and progressive? Another blog! Now onto Achieve, another progressive think tank with big money influence.)

http://www.achieve.org/our-board-directors

Here is the who and the how:

• Louis Gerstner, Jr., Chairman Emeritus of Achieve, Inc., was appointed to the first Board of Overseers of the Annenberg Institute for School Reform in 1995. Remember, Theodore Sizer, founder of CES schools, was Annenberg’s director at the time.

http://brown.edu/Administration/News_Bureau/1995-96/95-028.html

Gerstner and Tommy Thompson, former NGA Chairman and former governor of Wisconsin, called for and led the first National Education Summit in 1996 wherein Achieve, Inc. was created.

http://www.achieve.org/files/1996NationalEducationSummit.pdf

• Jeffrey Wadsworth, Achieve, Inc. board member, is president and CEO of Battelle Memorial Institute. In 2006, Battelle partnered with the Coalition of Essential Schools, Ohio State University, and KnowledgeWorks Foundation to create a new CES school, Metro High School in Columbus, OH.

http://www.essentialschools.org/resources/484

• Michael Cohen, President of Achieve, Inc., wrote a report in 2001 recommending smaller learning communities and refers to the Coalition of Essential Schools as a program that has “a clear focus and purpose”.

Under Cohen, Achieve, Inc. has partnered with the Alliance for Excellent Education on several initiatives. The Alliance is led by former governor of West Virginia Bob Wise, who is an advisory committee member (alongside Linda Darling Hammond) of CES’s Bay Area Coalition for Equitable Schools.

http://www.cherrycommission.org/docs/Resources/Preparation/highschools.pdf

Linda Darling Hammond is an Alliance for Excellent Education governing board member.

http://www.all4ed.org/about_the_alliance/leadership/Governing+Board

http://educationviews.org/linda-darling-hammond-bill-ayers-cscope-lucy-calkins-ccs/

Although Cohen is not specifically listed or named as a board member, his photo and bio can be found on the Alliance for Excellent Education website under “About the Alliance”.

http://www.all4ed.org/about_the_alliance/michael-cohen

Don’t forget to go here to see which CES-ers are behind CSCOPE.

http://danetteclark.wordpress.com/2013/03/03/more-proof-that-ces-a-nationwide-progressive-organization-launched-in-part-by-president-obama-is-behind-recent-controversy-in-texas-schools/

So there you have it — Common Core is the culmination of a 30 year old progressive education initiative still being driven by the ‘irrelevant’ Bill Ayers and implemented by Obama as America’s national standard in education.

http://www.ousd.k12.ca.us/site/default.aspx?PageType=3&ModuleInstanceID=335&ViewID=97313D1D-A9CF-4646-A5A5-0C355FBAC071&RenderLoc=0&FlexDataID=841&PageID=543

Here in Bill Ayers own words of his plans for our schools using Common Core and it tenets: “we should be looking at what we have complete access to, our schools, classrooms, communities and farms, If we want real change!”

Common Core our nations money whore:

In germany it would mean “Monetengeile Hure”

In the US Urban Dictionary it means:

Someone who loves money and goes to the extremes to get it

An (politician, added for emphasis), athlete, actor, musician or person in general who only does what they do to make money.

A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.

To accept payment in exchange for a performed act

To compromise one’s principles for personal gain.

Tennessee has clearly met the defined requirements above to be called a “money whore!”

In conjunction with 44 or so other states, Tennessee to date, has done the deed and accepted 500,000,000.00 dollars for implementation of RTTT, ie Common Core.

Thats half a billion folks so far to “reform” , “indoctrinate” or “nationalize” our public school system and steal the minds of our children.

The filthy bed we have chosen to lay down in is Race To The Top with Common Core as it’s enticing dirty little strumpet.

By accepting this ungodly amount of federal grant money, our tax dollars, we have made the likes of Barrack Obama, Bill Gates, Bill Ayers and Rupert Murdoch our pimps with the stereotypical fur lined feathered hat, pink coat and rhine stone studded white pants with a flipped up collar. Yes, I said flipped up collar!

The streets of Education are busy tonight ladies and gentlemen and the federal education system is in business and ready to part it’s loins and receive the neatly wrapped gift called RTTT or Common Core.

“Race to the Top, abbreviated R2T, RTTT or RTT, is a $4.35 billion United States Department of Education contest created to spur innovation and reforms in state and local district K-12 education.”

“It is funded by the ED Recovery Act as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and was announced by President Barack Obama and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on July 24, 2009.”

Tennessee was the top dollar “money whore” in a nationwide “contest point competition that clearly showed the federal that we will comply and do whatever you like for that almighty dollar.

Delaware, another “money whore” was the other fair lady, or gentlemen that came in a distant second for their efforts.

The program or lurid transaction includes $4 billion for statewide reform grants and $350 million to support states working together to improve the quality of their assessments.

“We received many strong proposals from states all across America, but two applications stood out above all others: Delaware and Tennessee,”

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan continued regarding the announcement of the winners.

”Both states have statewide buy-in for comprehensive plans to reform their schools.”

“They have written new laws to support their policies and they have demonstrated the courage, capacity, and commitment to turn their ideas into practices that can improve outcomes for students.”

“As with any federal grant program, budgets will be finalized after discussions between the grantees and the Department, and the money will be distributed over time as the grantees meet established benchmarks.”

“The Race to the Top, Common Core, state competition is designed to reward states that are leading the way in comprehensive, coherent, statewide education reform across four key areas:”

“Adopting standards and assessments that prepare students to succeed in college and the workplace;

Building data systems that measure student growth and success, and inform teachers and principals how to improve instruction;

Recruiting, developing, rewarding, and retaining effective teachers and principals, especially where they are needed most; and

Turning around their lowest-performing schools.”

This well dressed lady of the night, ready to accept money for services rendered, looks good on the surface but lying underneath the satin skirt is a very different set of circumstances.

This “standardization” of our school system had failed before it took flight. Her street corner is not safe and is not yielding the results that she desires. The money received from the big pimp daddy government is not being maximized for our children’s gain.

Common Core is being portrayed as a “state” program, state written and controlled.

Common Core in fact limits state or teacher input to around 15 percent. The rest is dictated by the federal government. Thus setting up the perfect environment and portrayal of the typical pimp to hoe to John scenario.

Common Core via RTTT is a deceptive “Trojan Horse!” A national or federal program, dictating the curriculum by a national cartel, supported by Barrack Obama and the Department of Education.

Texas, Alaska, Nebraska and Virginia have refused it outright while Minnesota has adopted only the math portion.

Texas Governor Rick Perry had this to say about why his state opted out of Common Core, RTTT, ”we would be foolish and irresponsible to place our children’s future in the hands of unelected bureaucrats and special interest groups thousands of miles away in Washington.”

Former Assistant Secretary of Education Diane Ravitch, for example, commented that empirical evidence “shows clearly that choice, competition and accountability as education reform levers are not working.”

Protective parents, covert teachers, concerned citizens all over the nation have realized this about Common Core, RTTT.

1) This baited money whore drop or mandate between the states and federal government never saw one vote cast in Congress or our state legislature for it’s roll out. Obama went straight to our Governors with the big deal and Haslam and the likes devoured the yummy goody.

2) No vote was cast in favor of Common Core by a single taxpayer. In fact, many citizens, even our elected reps didn’t know that the Common Core standards were embedded inside RTTT and are very unfamiliar with it’s contents.

3) Our Governors signed on the dotted line, sight unseen, officially branding them as the ultimate “John” accepting the favor for an exchange of money. Essentially a bribe or enticement.

4) Waivers were granted if they signed onto Common Core, they could get out from under the belly of another money whore product called “No Child Left Behind!”

5) The Obama administration has even threatened his money whore recipients with withdrawing “Title One Money” if they don’t comply, And with this grant money making up a huge portion of a states budget you know we are not gonna risk losing that. If I’m not mistaken, all but one school in Bradley County is a title one school. Thus our deep involvement and dependence on the pimp.

6) Cost of implementation will be right at 16 billion, possibly more by some guesstimations. We all know what happens when the federal government throws around estimates, it will be off by much. Computer and software are gonna be the biggest money whore item and we know who owns the software, the biggest catalyst of the standards, multi billionaire Bill Gates.

7) It is unconstitutional. A Nationalized, top down program is contrary to states rights and the constitution. Central control of our education system is not what our forefathers had in mind. This is how a despotic government and it’s dictators take over our children and our nation. Our forefathers deliberately left the word education out of the Constitution, the education of our children was to be left up to the states and directed locally and by the parents and local school boards, not the federal government.

8) The Department of Education Organizational Act of 1979, the General Education Provisions Act, the Elementary and Secondary Act of 1965 and the recently amended No Child Left Behind Act of 2002 spells out that “The federal Department of Education shall not be involved in developing, supervising or controlling instructional materials or curriculum!” So, why are our Governors lapping up every federal dollar to implement a nationalized government curriculum?

9) Did you know that parents and local school boards are supposed to be in charge of implementing it’s curriculum? Then why are we not assuming the wheel and driving our own curriculums?

10) Common Core will be tracking your child’s every move all the way into their adult years post graduation from college! A database is in the works to track things like fingerprints, height, weight, health status, reprimands, disciplinary action, grades and a host of other “indicators of success” throughout their lives.

11) Math standards are lowered, not improved. In fact, Algebra teaching will be delayed from the traditional 8th grade to the 9th grade. In two pilot states, Utah and Massachusetts, where Common Core math standards were implemented the scores were no change to lowered.

12) The English standards have cut out much of the classic English literature. In fact, the standards call for a reduction to 50 percent down from 80 percent. Anthony Esolen, a professor of English Literature at Providence College states “What appalls me the most about Common Core is the cavalier contempt for the great works of human art, thought and literary form…We are not to be forming the minds and hearts of men and women. Frankly, I do not wish to be governed by people whose hearts and minds have been stunted by a strictly utilitarian miss-education!”

13) National tests will be tied to Common Core. This forces private and homeschoolers to either conform to Common Core or be at a distinct disadvantage because the CC curriculum was not adopted and they choose to take national tests that are often requirements for higher education. Teachers are forced to teach to the test, limiting their creativity in the classroom….nationalized education!

14) Teachers much like whores are forced to be compliant with Common Core or reap the strong hand of the biggest pimp, the Department of Education. Teachers know this curriculum or standards have a high failure rate and many items are unproven. So, the teachers comply, fall in line or risk losing gainful employment by speaking up.

15) The E-Learning market is expected to grow to 6.8 billion by 2015, up from 2.9 billion in 2010. Reaking havoc on state budgets.

16) Lets look at the literary definition of “Common” shall we. Ordinary. Of little value. Lacking distinction. Belonging equally to all people. Nuff said!

17) “A cartel of Chiefs” actually put the socialist program in ink, originating from the likes and mind of Terrorist Bill Ayers. The CCSSO, the NGA, Obama, FTA, Achieve, FTA, NEA, ACT and the College Board are the cartel. Hardly sounds like a state initiative to me.

18) A “suggestion input box” from State board members was the only influence the states had on the Common Core standards.

19) Common Core is an initiative of UNESCO, a United Nations subsidiary and a component of Agenda 21. It compliments the regional program Thrive 2055 and is an important tool to share budgets within our mega region and adopt regional teaching standards and curriculum.

At this point you can see we are well into this transaction of money whoring and while the money is good, and a state or Governor is willing to partake, the services will still be rendered.

In spite of the light heartedness of this blog, you can see the dangers our children are facing.

We as a state and nation are being led down a very slippery slope with our federal government controlling our children and the input that they are receiving.

Our leaders are turning a blind eye to the indoctrination for the exchange of money. Our reps are remaining silent on this issue and in reality have been bypassed. This must be an awful, fruitless place to be and must bear a heavy burden.

What can we do? Continue applying pressure on these globalist, these pimps that are seeking control of our children’s minds and holding their hand out every time a dollar us offered.

Attend school board meetings and demand input. Call your board members, Supervisors of schools, Congressmen, Senators and Legislators, County Commissioners or City Councilmen and women.

Be very aware that for every dollar that makes it into our states from the federal government, many strings will be attached with many hoops to be jumped through to keep the money flowing and the agenda fluent.

This is where we stray and remain a whore to our own government and it’s eventual control of our communities, our schools and the mind and hearts of our children.

We only get one opportunity to educate our children. Implementation of a known failed system that deliberately dumbs down your child and has a track record of failure is not acceptable in our communities.

Continue sharing information. The difference can only be made by the parents demanding it.

The money has been delivered, the whore is delighted and the Johns are wanting more. A vicious cycle that must be broken.

This cycle or habit will be a tough one to break.

The pimps, the federal government and the Department of Education are well fed and deliver a powerful, swift hand to those hoes not willing to perform on the corner, in our communities for the minds of our children.

Have a blessed day!
