The Chamber of Commerce, World,International and US Chambers are gearing up for the Rio+20 Conference in May 2012, 20 years after the Earth Summit, government, business and civil society leaders from all over the world will gather again in Rio de Janeiro to attend the United Nations Conference on Sustainable Development (agenda 21)-commonly referred to as Rio+20. This time the meeting is aimed to assess progress made towards creating a more sustainable world and to discuss approaches for the next 20 years!
Today the INTERNATIONAL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) joined by the UNITED NATIONS GLOBAL COMPACT announced the creation of Business Action for Sustainable Development (Agenda 21) 2012 (BASD2012). Chad Holiday Chairman of Bank of America and former CEO of Dupont have agreed to chair the event!
Jean-Guy Carrier, International Chamber of Commerce Acting General Secretary stated in this article on the US CHAMBER OF COMMERCES website “The private sector is a crucial partner in creating solutions to today’s pressing development and environmental challenges and is already active on many fronts!” “At the same time, there is still much to be done in ramping up businesses contribution to (his words not mine) ADVANCING AGENDA 21 and the Millenium Development Goals as we head towards RIO+20.” and I will end this quote here!
ADVANCING AGENDA 21 GOALS! Last year Agenda 21 in Bradley County in the minds of our elected leaders didnt exist and now it is set to take over our community by a few very willing participants who are more than willing to give up our Sovereignty to the United Nations while holding the hand of our Chamber of Commerce!
Whew what a year! Time to elect some elected officials that have our best interest in mind and not federal dollars and the Socialistic views of the International community!

Funny they would be going to RIO+20 in May when the conference is scheduled June 4-6, 2012. GEE I thought our government was not supporting Agenda 21. Isn’t that what they tell you at the meetings??? This article alone is enough to prove they are liars!!

Karen, the best I can figure is that there will be a series of meetings and conferences leading up to the bug event! Alot of large, excuse me huge conferences will have a series of events leading up to the big day and a compilation of the data will be brought and presented to the conference refined and the kinks worked out! It helps with fluidity and is often a time saver! Seems they are only meeting every 5 to 10 years, got to optimize the timespent bringing in these major players like the Chamber of Commerce. I did check more press releases an they all say May 2012 and the main event in other documents. I did find this paragraph on a WBCSD site that talks about a series of meetings-” The WBCSD will host a series of stakeholder discussions to articulate these roles and responsibilities. In particular, the stakeholder process will explore the interplay of business innovation and initiatives, with market framework conditions, business leadership with smart public policy measures.” So it sounds like a festival and a month or so of fun in the sun while the worlds socialist demise is planned! Hope to see ya there! I am currently looking for a sponsor so I can report on this series of events first hand and in Rio! Know of anyone please send them my way!

Thanks Donny. I am working on getting admission to the conference June 4-6. I would save this article and use it to your benefit. The Chamber is openly admitting they support Agenda 21. So as much as they want to argue that fact it can’t be denied. Keep up the great work with letting the citizens of Bradley County and beyond know the truth about what is going on. I hope they are getting the message. And that is “their freedom is in dire jeopardy as well as the freedom for future generations.”
