Georgetown preserved, Commissioners vote NO to rezoning effort

In Government on June 5, 2012 at 12:08 AM

Packed among neighbors friends, coworkers and fellow patriots I felt right at home tonight. I would safely say approximately 200 to 250 residents packed the Bradley County Courthouse tonight in anticipation of the much contested rezoning vote.

The vote was nearly unanimously NO with 13 commissioners voting NO to the rezoning and one Mr Mel Griffith passed on his vote. 13-0-1 was the final vote tally.

The Mayor started out with budget talks and even mentioned that the school budget requests grew over 5 million dollars over last years budget and even emphasized that 66.6 percent of the current budget goes to the schools. This drew hisses from the crowd and begs for another blog on another day.

The arguments against the rezoning were compelling and offered many reasons why they ahould not rezone at the request of Mr and Mrs Larry Allen. Storm water runoff, air, visual and noise pollution, infrastructure costs etc were among the subjects and arguments presented.

After many efforts to speed the process up, Commissioner Connie Woods suggested that the vote go forward with no further discussion, this motion was approved.

The crowd was asked is there anyone in the room that is for the rezoning? One gentleman stepped forward and states his name as Mr Larry Allen. Mr Allen made one memorable statement that drew a gasp from the crowd when he said that he would not have asked for the rezoning if he had not been asked by the Bradley County Planning Commission to do so. The mere fact that several on the Planning Commission have worked with Mr Allen and have recused themselves from the process and nearly split a vote in favor of the rezoning was a stark revelation that at the very least needs to be investigated as unethical if not illegal.

The realization that Mr Allen would admit to this action puts to rest any doubt that the “good ole boy” machine is alive and well in Bradley County. Friends using friends using government appointed positions for-profit! I don’t believe Mr Allen purposefully let the cat out of the bag, but he sure did expose at the very least some dirty politics.

Without applying a damp rag on the whole evening and pull away from their efforts, I give applause to the citizens of Georgetown and the Committee to Preserve Georgetown.

This was a huge well oiled effort and exemplifies what America is all about. When the people speak, our government should listen and act accordingly.

This is what a Republic is made of, not a democracy as many bureaucrats in the room cited tonight!

Sleep tight! Wait for it all to sink in. Read the local paper, I can tell you already what part will be left off the front pages, wanna bet?

BCNN- Bradley County News Network reaches 20,000 readers in over 80 countries

In Uncategorized on June 3, 2012 at 1:33 PM

Thanks once again for reaching this milestone! The many readers that visit this site are realizing we are in the middle of one of the greatest threats to our county, our country and across the globe. Globalism is replacing our Constitutional Republic. The country is being run by bureaucrats that nonlonger have our best interest in mind but would rather see our community and our children sacrificed to the greater good of the world. Socialism no matter how or who is promoting it or how it is reached is still Socialism.

The political correctness generation is now talking the helm and our country is starting a steep decline. When freedom of speech is limited, a government is tyrannical while raising taxes at every turn, or the people no longer can speak up without fearing their government we have already realized little time is left unless we do something and quick.

Searches to our site from Australia, Uganda, Iraq and many others tells me you are seeking information and you are coming to the BCNN website for that information.

This is so humbling and encouraging in the same sentence.

Bradley County and it’s many bureaucrats in conjunction with Chattanooga and ICLEI in our region are leading the way toward our demise. The West Coast is in shambles and believe it or not Bradley County is leading the way, using methods that the left coast used 20 plus years ago and you know where their economy is.

The epicenter of the east coast is centered in our region because we have leaders who cannot say no to any federal money and who are seeing “hope and change” in our community as the only way to survive.

Endless spending has been proven to not help with our economy. Raising taxes to get us over one hump only to create a mountain on our future generations is not the answer.

Eventually and hopefully soon our leaders will either change their ways and put our representative house in order or step out of the way and let concerned citizens who are not appointed by the good ole boy network to continue that trend.

I like to think that I, through this network, with your assistance, we are making a little difference while reporting the News that doesn’t always make the front pages.

Please continue to read and I will continue to pump out the truth!

Subscribe to this site and get updates everytime a blog or the news is reported. I try to write or construct a news story every other day, time permitting. Spread the word and believe me there is no profit in this for me, only the satisfaction that a breaking news story is getting out to the world. That’s the true advantage of a blog. It’s information that sees the world at an alarming speed!

Good day and thanks for your support!

HR 628: UN to regulate internet, possible vote in Congress Thursday

In Uncategorized on June 3, 2012 at 12:14 PM

The House of Representatives Energy and Commerce Committee’s Subcommittee on Communications and Technology will take up the issue of turning control of the internet over to the United Nations this THURSDAY!

As many continue to call the many actions of the UNITED NATIONS conspiracy or a farce the UN continues to attempt to take over every function that we now freely enjoy as Americans.

The same people that are calling this hostile, blatant takeover of our country a conspiracy or imaginary are either complicit or are totally ignorant of the news around them.

We can no longer delay with these tactics of our elected officials. Our country is in grave danger and we cannot offer excuses or vilify those that are warning of our demise. We must act now!

The UN wants our sovereignty, our freedom, money and our coveted way of life. They know very well that we have the greatest GDP that rivals China and to control our Internet and our way of life would definitely make them a lot wealthier, thus the ability to spread the wealth to other countries and give them control over most of the world using regulatory fines to enhance the UN bank roll.

Sounds like a really bad Alfred Hitchcock or Steven Spielberg movie doesn’t it? Large international powerhouse takes over the Internet from the United States. Also taking their guns, business and their property? But, it’s happening and the push is on now with the combined, coordinated efforts of our relentless bureaucrats and their clones.

This Thursday a possible vote could go forward out of the Energy and Commerce Committee to give the rights of our Internet and all its regulatory control over to the UNITED NATIONS!

Why are we still involved with the UN? Why are we weekly seeing bills or resolutions come before our Congress and put to a vote. Why are we allowing an international body to have access to our borders, much less our representative bodies? The answer is simple! Many within the bureaucratic machine, like the Chamber of Commerce, who has “Chief Consultation Status” with the UN, have full reign and access to our representatives complete with their multi million dollar lobbying efforts that are swaying these votes to fruition. That’s why!

It is high time we take back control of our government! We must perform a lot of R and R! Remove and Replace these vile representatives who continue to be influenced by wealthy lobbyist that are buying these votes and padding their pockets with cash.

Control of the Internet would mean a very healthy means of freedom of speech would be squelched or halted altogether. Grassroots citizens like you and I would no longer have access to the masses quickly. The UN would not allow free speech or any of our numerous other liberties to be expressed in this format. You would be silenced!

Speak up now, loudly and often! Let Congress know we do not want the UNITED NATIONS regulating our Internet and essentially stepping into our living rooms and saying “you can’t say or do that!”

Members of the Committee are on this link. Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn is our State Representative on this committee!

CALL CONGRESS TODAY at 202-224-3121, just ask for your Congressman or woman and ask them nicely to not vote for this resolution if it makes it to the floor.

GOP’s Tim Rudd to conservatives: no one outside of any political organization has the right to interfere with another organization’s (vetting) process

In Uncategorized on June 3, 2012 at 2:08 AM

The GOP has created a firestorm with Conservative 912 and Tea Party groups over their recent letter asking that Republican candidates not participate in a questionnaire as part of their vetting process.

Mr Tim Rudd basically saying we can do our own vetting, thank you very much. We don’t need the people helping us choose a candidate, especially the conservatives. Not exactly his wording but the understanding of the message is the same.

This divide and ever more difficult balancing act by the GOP of what to do with those pesky conservatives is getting wider. For several years now the GOP has benefitted from the Conservative/Tea Party types and this is the thanks we get. I personally don’t tie into one particular party for obvious reasons but it just so happens that more of what I agree with politically and socially happens to be likeminded with the R side of the aisle. So, in turn I should get a say so in the vetting process.

This type of logic leads me to the next scenario. Is it time for a conservative convention? A Tea Party or 9/12 convention? I have reserved my thoughts on this for years but now the GOP is attempting to keep us out of the selection process. I say it is time we vet our own and the heck with the other parties. I sat it is high time we start pushing our own representatives to the positions we desire.

It has been a long time coming and now that both sides of the aisles are starting to look more of the same it may be time to press the button and go forward. We as conservative groups have matured and caught up to all the deceit and lies going on in out nation by the same people that the parties are placing on the ballot. No longer can we be ignored, used and tossed aside with the bathwater.

Locally it doesn’t appear that all GOP groups are acting the same. I believe there are still groups like ours in Bradley County that are willing to embrace the conservatives and even recently speaking out against a wheel tax.

From my vantage point it appears the GOP as a whole is not getting the message that the people still want a say so in the people who will represent them. The vetting process should always be conducted and I don’t believe the vetting process should be influenced by a few within the GOP.

Mr Rudd, you also posed the scenario that what if the GOP came into our camp and tried to tell us who to vote for or who to vet that we would say it was unfair. Essentially you are already doing that. I personally think the exchange would be more than welcome by conservatives. Then you send out a scathing letter to incumbents and candidates asking that this not happen.

We are way past the day when a RINO, because of his name recognition or he is kin to someone or has x amount of money in his pocket to be selected as my representative. It should be collaborative and if the GOP doesn’t appreciate that then I want to see the millions of conservatives at future conservative conventions making our own choices, likely crushing GOP chances of survival. Now that’s a scenario that may cause some to rethink this egregious act.

Here is the letter that was passed along to me by 9/12 and Tea Party leaders.

TO:
Sen. Jim Tracy
Rep. Joe Carr
Rep. Rick Womack
Rep. Mike Sparks
Richard Garvin
Dawn White
Ryan Harring

Dear Fellow Republicans and Candidates for Republican Nomination,

Recently a non-Republican organization (9/12) sent out a “vetting” questionnaire and requested that you attend a debate sponsored by them. I urge you not to participate in this unauthorized “vetting” process. No organization outside the Republican Party has the right or responsibility to vet, interview or determine who the Republican Party’s nominee should be.

I both encourage individuals and non-partisan organizations to be involved in the political process. But, no one outside of any political organization has the right to interfere with another organization’s process. What would be the response if the Republican Party Executive Committee ask members of the Democratic Party, Libertarian Party, John Birch Society, Campaign For Liberty, 9 /12, League of Women Voters, the Tea Party or the Chamber of Commerce to report to the next GOP meeting for us to vet who should either lead those organizations or be nominees for their political parties? The response would be outrage, power grab, unethical, etc.

Any individual from any outside organization that is a Republican should volunteer and participate in the Republican Primary in support of one of our candidates, but not on behalf of an outside organization. Organizations like 9/12, the Small Business Alliance or the Middle Tennessee Property Rights Coalition can and should get involved in the General election by supporting either the Democratic, Republican or Independent candidates. —- But not in OUR GOP PRIMARY!

The only people that should “VET” our Republican candidates are Republican Caucus or Primary voters and the Republican Party leadership. We ask that you respectfully decline participating in their or any other outside “Vetting Process” and respect the Republican Party’s process.

Very Sincerely Yours,

Tim Rudd
Republican State Executive Committeeman

Georgetown, TN citizens to attend Bradley County Commission vote on zoning request

In Uncategorized on June 1, 2012 at 1:29 PM

Monday, June 4th 2012, 7pm at the Bradley County Courthouse Commission meeting room the citizens of Georgetown Tennessee will attend the vote on an Industrial Zoning request by a local citizen.

Judith Allen has requested 223 acres be rezoned from Forest/Agriculture/Residential to I1, heavy industrial. The request has drawn the ire of many citizens in Bradley County who are not happy with how the rezoning will change the environment for all of Georgetown and for generations to come.

Future Bradley county land use plans of 2011, a map prepared by out of state consultants shows that thousands of more acres will be affected by the zoning request, not just Mrs Allens property. In accordance with the BCC 2035 Comprehensive Growth Plan many changes are ahead not only for Georgetown but all of Bradley County and surrounding regions.

Many citizens and groups in Bradley County have been warning of this invasion of your property rights for several years, we are only now beginning to see the wave of change that has been forecasted.

The Citizens of Georgetown are now saying, not in my community. You are not going to tyrannically take my property as a Government entity or change in my community without my input.

Plan to be there on Monday and show your support for the citizens of Georgetown as they stand for it’s rights. I am included in this group and it makes me proud to stand with this very well organized community as they tell their Government and it’s many NGO (Non Governmental Organizations) to stay out of our community. We happen to love our community minus the manufacturers, warehouses, distribution centers, equipment rental, leasing and storage facilities, asphalt refineries, mixing plants, recycling collection centers and outdoor shooting ranges. Leave our beautiful rural areas rural.

Hope to see you there on Monday. Come early it will be crowded.

Help us say NO to this zoning request!

One of the greatest threats to the good ole boy network is for a group of citizens to gather in large groups and tell them how to vote. Bradley County Citizens are starting to wake up and realize that the secret to overcoming tyranny is a loud well organized group of citizens speaking up for their rights.

On Monday, if the vote ends up in favor of the zoning request, let’s make it clear that their position and future political endeavors are in jeopardy. We will send your bags packing, remove and replace you with someone that will cide with and listen to the citizens of Bradley County.

PRENDA fails in US Congress that would have made sex selective abortions illegal, unborn females at risk

In Uncategorized on June 1, 2012 at 1:29 AM

HR 3541, PRENDA, Prenatal Discrimination Act failed in Congress yesterday leaving female unborn children to be selectively aborted so the world does not become overpopulated, discriminately sparing the male child.

Zzzzzzzzzzzz. Zzzzzzzzz! Not a word in the morning, evening or late news. Not a mention of it in the local papers or radio stations. No casual conversation around the dinner table. No bureaucrats notifying the public. No pastor from your church concerned. Only a bleep on an email to me mid morning alerting me to the happenings in our US House of Representatives. A daily google alert I get on the “happenings” of the day in Congress.

Casually written, no urgency in it’s pattern of alert but the news is shocking and the failure of Congress to protect unborn females is an atrocity that rivals Nazi Germany and Red China in it’s genocide endeavors both past and present.

Yesterday, May 31st, 2012, our Congress failed to pass a bill that would have made sexually biased, selective sex abortions illegal in the US of A! A vote narrowly failed and now we can selectively kill the little girls and spare the little boys.

Population control is the game and the US Congress agrees. Hours of discussion led to intense debate on the floor and many feared that many women would be racially profiled or Doctors would be fined or jailed for up to five years for selectively aborting females over males. The other side argued that perhaps Asian Americans would be discriminated against because this is common practice in China or other Asian countries.

The vote last evening clearly shows our moral decline in this country when a matter of life and or death becomes a political battle split by the aisle where they sit all in the name of election year politics.

I don’t usually get involved in social issues but this issue hit me in my heart and is forcing me to side with an opinion. My children, in this case my beautiful daughters being recklessly abandoned by our US Congress is more than I could stand.

Selective sex abortions legal in the US! Who would have thought that those words would roll off my tounge in this day and time.

If a doctor or practitioner somehow is convinced that killing a female baby that may God forbid one day reproduce and bear another female and overpopulate the Earth is now an acceptable practice in the US and he/she can now do so with a confidence vote inside our Congress. God truly bless us for we have stepped past the point of no return.

When as a child, even then I was amazed at the headlines of the day that in the Asian culture within China a boy baby was favored over a female baby and females were tossed into a garbage can after being soaked in an acid solution, killing one race while favoring another. I recall as a child how alarmed I was by this news and how vulnerable it made me feel. The awkward playground conversation that always ended with “it’s a good thing we don’t live in China!”

Today, yesterday, this atrocity became reality in the country that I thought would protect me and future generations. Selective sex abortions can now be performed and continued in the US because the bureaucrats in DC have made this life and death decision political fodder and have mucked it up for the rest of our country because they want to further divide this country and separate the D’s as far away from the R’s as they can.

God bless our country! Please God restore the moral compass that has gone astray and please protect that unborn female from a protected doctor or practitioner that may feel emboldened by this vote failure today to make a decision that will remain unchecked in our community. Hug your child, watch out for the females of our culture, now they have a definite target on their backs.

I am truly sick at my stomach right now. Somehow that childhood false protective barrier I thought existed has been broken down and we again have fallen victim to a runaway government clearly presiding way outside their moral aptitude.
