Urgent Bradley County School board meeting: Concerned citizens encouraged to attend

The next Bradley County School board meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 13th, 2013, 5pm at the Bradley County School board in Cleveland, Tennessee, next to Bradley County High School.

Please plan to attend this meeting. We should all be supportive of our children. Moreover, we should expect the taxpayers money that is in the hands of these elected board members to be spent efficiently and in the best interest of the taxpayers which directly affects our children.

Attendance at this meeting is crucial to making our board members accountable and the school system that is the end user of that money.

As we face a possible property tax hike and we are hearing the voice of the school system and the County Commission say they have no plans to ask the school system to look deeply at their current budget and make the needed cuts, then it is up to the taxpayer to request they be better stewards of our money and hold them accountable.

We need to gather the troops for Thursday at 5pm to be the voice that demands the needed change.

The public is being made aware of things we should be made aware of and eventually those things will come to light. Stay tuned.

It is time the citizens of Bradley County get off their rears and become participatory and observant of what is happening within our school system.

This meeting will be chocked full of agenda items that you will be interested in.

Please plan to attend.

Hope to see you there.
