“Flyer propaganda” prompts Cleveland Mayor to order investigation on citizen exercising free speech

There is no Propaganda! There is nothing being made up! There are no mistruths in the much discussed flyer that was handed out in the central southern downtown area.

The only thing that did happen was a lone patriot took it upon himself to warn some friends and neighbors of the up and coming drafted plan to demolish and redevelop their homes.

Many of these mostly blue collared and retired citizens just south of the old whirlpool have only one entity to live in fear of and that is the actions of their locally elected officials who are supposed to represent them and protect them.

The Mayor, his council and their hired consultants and Greg Thomas drafted a plan that called for the demolition and redevelopment of 300 homes in downtown Cleveland.

Only when the citizens were informed of their demise did the mayor and Planner Greg Thomas go on the offensive and look as if they had no part in the published draft for the BCC 2035 downtown growth plan which was handed out at the last public meeting and at the time of the flyer handout was the only known draft.

Only after the Mayor, Greg Thomas and editors at the Banner ranted at the sick and demented acts of a single Patriot for 6 days did we suddenly all realize that a private meeting was reportedly held and the planners and Mayor miraculously came up with another plan and the Flyer guy was handing out old “outdated” information.

“This area would be best served by demolition and redevelopment!” as quoted from the last public notice of the last updated public plan draft. This quote came directly from the consultants hired by our local government using a 3 to 2 vote by City Council to go forward with redevelopment that gave the go ahead for the consultants and planners to draft the plans with the above ominous sentence.

Until the very recent discovery of a “new draft plan” the area south of the old Whirlpool Plant with 300 homes had been targeted for DEMOLITION AND REDEVELOPMENT!

The above statement is confirmed in the draft of the plan handed out to the public at the last public meeting at the Bradley Square Mall. If you recall many were sorely disappointed at the drafted plans on that date and over 73 percent of those in attendance for the three day event disagreed or strongly disagreed and more than 80 percent disagreed with the Central City plan.

The Consultants, Planners and Elected officials took a deaf ear stance to the cries of a citizenry that did not want to see this happen in their communities. The cry was loud, even prompting additional purchased adds in the local paper because noone, to include the hired Consultants would publish the results…..”because they were too negative!”

My conclusion to this would be if you had listened to those who attended you would not have been surprised when many called the planners horrified that their homes were suggested to be better served by demolition and redevelopment.

The overwhelming message at the Charrette is you will be violating our property rights and when the people affected discover your vile plan the Mayor and Greg Thomas act mortified and disgusted that anyone would dare tell a citizen about your plan that contained the scary, absurd and crazy message.

Too negative? The outrage from this last public meeting Charrette at Mall was labeled too negative to report the findings. Would you attempt to label something too negative if it meant giving up your property rights? I know not of a single person that addressed this issue and our very verbal concerns but instead chalking up the many who spoke against this development and demolition as “stirring up trouble!”

The local Bradley/Cleveland Chamber of Commerce, in their April monthly newsletter, mailed to every business member in the area and basically condemned our efforts to warn the public of the dissatisfaction with the redevelopment plans for this area that the Mayor has now reportedly vehemently denied will ever happen showed much disbelief that someone would tell those people something awful like that and upsetting senior citizens, Mr Mayor, this was your drafted plan that contained the bad news!

What is happening in this community? Bureaucrats, elected leaders, Mayors, consultants, planners, vested parties, the utility departments, the Chamber of Commerce, the many appointed boards and elected officials turning on the general public and attempting to block, squelch and criminalize anyone that dares to expose this stealthy plan. This same group is surprised when the now informed public learns of their own demise at the hands of our locally elected officials and take a precarious stance to act like it never happened.

I have addressed and dredged up many many reports supporting the facts in the flyer. Read some, read them all and you will be amazed at the amount of trickery, spin and energy that goes into denying the facts. It is almost as if they don’t realize that with 99 percent of what they do or say there is some type of public record about most of their actions. Nothing a little Google search want confirm.

The Cleveland Daily Banner in an “anonymous” editorial letter in this weeks paper called the actions of citizens “absurd!”

A recent conversation with a Banner reporter which will remain unidentified out of respect for this person, I told him that alot of people are going to be angry over this “spin” and lack of details of this drafted plan for the BCC 2035 growth plan that noone wants to assume ownership of and the local press is only offering one side of the story.

I am now convinced after compiling this data that the right hand does not know what the left hand is doing as this unknown government goes forward with redevelopment. Others have expressed that this is deliberate and the opposing messages being sent to the public are intentional, much like self governance, the unknown government and consensus through techniques like the Delphi!

I do know one thing and mark my word. The demolishing and redevelopment portion of the Central City plan white papers is very real and is the last known draft that the public has been privy to. The Mayor and the City Planner, based solely on their comments and it is my opinion only, no fact to base this statement on but it appeared the Mayor and the Planner at the time of the flyers being passed out were either unaware of the drafted plans by hired out of town consultants or are flat out not being honest with the people that they represent. It has to be one or the other based on the many reactions in shock of the drafted plan and their repeated cries they didn’t know where we were getting these “bogus ideas!”

Let me put another opinion out there, no fact, just my humble opinion, let me put out there another scenario. When the mayor called a press conference and eventually a 7 to 0 vote by his council to criminalize a patriots action why didnt the Mayor or City Planner express to the many news outlets on that Monday, June 18 th and the following 6 or so days that “the news being put out was outdated instead of a farce as they alleged. Why wasn’t the opportunity to inform the public not done initially instead of many days later. Just a thought and again my opinion is he didn’t even know what the planners and consultants had put in the plan.

The day of my interview with Channel 12s News, Bill Mitchell after interviewing the Mayor told me we had been acting on old outdated plans and that the “planners” met on May 31st and changed the wording to say nothing of redevelopment and demolition. How convenient is that! Now that the word is out and the plan changes drastically and not one word to the public or coverage in the local papers. News this big did not make it out to the public for nearly 4 months?

I requested the “newly updated” version of the plan from Corey Divel and it was indeed updated and did not mention demolishing or redevelopment as the original last known draft to the public said. The newly revised plan from Corey Divel had the same date as the original. I’ll let you form your own opinion here.

I requested yet another draft plan, this one from Greg Thomas, this one with the original date and the updated date and of course no mention of the demolishing and redevelopment of 300 homes South of the old whirlpool plant. He later communicated to me that he did not like being misrepresented. I now ask the question, what is misrepresentative about the only current public information we have that says the 300 homes South of the old Whirlpool plant would be best served by Demolition or Redevelopment. I do not see what is false or misrepresented about that?

Perhaps, after reading the many attached articles you can find out where the mistruth is in the flyer that was disseminated by an anonymous flyer man exercising his First Amendment right. I can’t find it! I tried to find a mistruth in it, I honestly did! Then I would be forced to shut up and drop the issue.

Remember, this issue was brought on by our elected body who attempted to warn the public and to criminalize the actions of a few citizens with a stronghand vote from City council and a horrendous media smear of this person! That’s the only fault I have found with this whole debacle!

My many thanks goes out to the Banner for providing much of the information I have displayed! I encourage you to keep reading the Banner for it’s timely reporting of these issue and spend that 50 cents and dollar on Sunday getting the news of our local happenings.

It’s my understanding that over 20 people contacted Greg Thomas because his number was listed on the flyer, who were concerned and some even expressed fear that we’re going to take their property. Nothing can be further from the truth. I think this flyer is very exciting. I don’t find anything, maybe some terminology here and there that’s even true.” He also went on to explain that this person must be exposed and explore any possible criminal activity that may apply!

TIF is the redirection of increased property tax revenues
which occur as the result of a redevelopment project, in support of the project. It is a means of providing funding to spur redevelopment activities. TIF must be approved by the governing bodies involved. A side note- the schools, police and fire as well as many other budgets are affected by TIF financing because of frozen property tax rates and the diversion of tax dollars to the likes of developers and etc.

Ability to Assemble Property:
Are able to acquire property either through outright purchase, or through the exercise of eminent domain, which is defined as the taking of private property for the public good, with just compensation and assistance with relocation.

Bonding Authority:
Are authorized by T.C.A. 13-20-104(a)22 has the capability to borrow funds through its bonding authority in support of projects with a public purpose, with public ownership. This may be at a lower, tax-exempt, interest rate.

From pathetic to prophet: ‘Sustainable Development’ a new political issue

Pathetic to Prophet! Not really but it sounds good in a headline! Eating that elephant one bite at a time! That is the proper technique for exposing and destroying the huge albatros known as Agenda 21! The stealthy but large mammal is making it’s way into every facet of Bradley County, the Region through every corridor in the State of Tennessee, to the nation! And our local and state officials are still ignoring that it exists!

From little “county smart sustainable growth plans” to “moderate Regional plans” to large federal involvement, we are seeing our once great country conquered, divided and destroyed by Socialist dead set on seeing your private and intellectual property, your divine God given rights, your sovereignty given away by a herd of politicians dead set on “getting that federal grant money” in exchange for your freedom!

Agenda 21 is real Bradley County and the rest of the nation! People are slowly awakening to this reality and little by little the moo mentality within our own local commission and council, general public is slowly turning to favor my stance against this diabolical plan to rule the world by convincing the local policy makers with a local agenda 21 focus!

Yesterday, I went to the local grocery store and briskly walked in to collect the evening meal for my family, purchased a copy of the Cleveland Daily Banner and flipped quickly to the editorial section, I believe page 16, top of the column, I see the ominous words “Sustainable Development.” My heart raced, my imagination stirred!

Will I be reading once again, a failed attempt at the paper to discredit me or call me a kook, have they dialed up the UNITED NATIONS again and attempted to thwart the work of a few patriots in this town trying to save Bradley County and the Region! Perhaps, a scathing article announcing a find that Agenda 21 is a hoax, a fake Socialist program dreamed up by local Tea Party types and “crazy freedom lovers” gaurding their great Republic from a Socialist Leftist Regime sent down from Washington DC?

Nope! It was a time for me to smile! Within the pages of the local newspaper was a very satisfying article chocked full of the same information that me and my freedom fighting buddy “Dan the Man” gave them almost a year ago! It was reading something like a novel directly from the pages from my distant mentor Henry Lamb! In fact it was! I loomed further and he was even quoting Henry, referred to his research and even directed every one to his website for further information! Could the local paper have had an epiphany, could they have seen the light?

A grin now forming from my jowls, a witnessed precarious situation was unfolding and popping into my proportionately large mixed up head! Sort of like having to kiss your lil sister for one of those silly family pictures or sucking a lemon right after consuming a tablespoon of sugar! That reverse of what is expected to happen!

The local paper, I’m sure, has contracted this syndicated, editorial, columnist and agreed to print this article, regardless of what he had to say! You know that long forgotten free speech thang! Needless to say, I believe the paper had no choice but to print the truth about Agenda 21 from this great columnist, thus the sister and lemon analogy!

Not too long ago, Dan and I approached the County Commission about the BCC 2035 Strategic Growth Plan having deeps roots within the United Nations and stunk of Agenda 21 filth! The local paper reportedly called the UNITED NATIONS and shortly offered a story the next day or so completely debunking, mocking and attempting to discredit our efforts! A very clever UN telephone spokesperson offered that they knew nothing of an Agenda 21 plan in Bradley County Tennessee! The reporter then pounced on this, wrote an article the following day and left the impression with their readers that the UNITED NATIONS was unaware of any agenda 21 plans “to rule the world!”

The article went on to explain that all the allegations were false and unduly represented by the local Tea Party fanatics in Cleveland/Bradley County! They went on to say, and I’m again paraphrasing, but said they were unsure of what they were going to do about all these rumors floating around by those radical tea party types! This left me and others the impression they were either going to snuff me out or sue me. Otherwise, the local paper in a failed attempt to embarrass me had “outed” me as perhaps a “domestic terrorist”, a “trouble maker”, “un-American” or at the very least a “crazy” with very little power to defend myself against the very large leftist elite media machine and the great big ole UNITED NATIONS!

Sure, the attention they gave to the UN regarding me and the poor attempt to discredit me could have caused me and my family great harm, fortunately has not to date! I was placed in the crosshairs and given as a sacrificial lamb to arguably the most powerful regime in the world, the UNITED NATIONS by my local press! You know, sort of like you know the mob exists, but you don’t go kissing Don Corleone on the lips, you know what I’m sayin? Huh?

But the same paper that did all that is now printing the same truth I had just divulged a few months earlier and much more eloquently I may add! The same paper that attempted to destroy me is now enjoying a profit on my story! Spouting the same thing that just a few months ago, said didn’t exist! Go figure!

Oh well! Small victories to me are just as sweet as the large ones! I go from pathetic to prophet in a blink of an eye! Thanks for the article! Keep them coming, will enjoy reading and re reading this for a long time!

Editorial afterthought: I have notified nearly every local politician, have given the same “sustainable” book by Henry Lamb to most all of them, have sat down with many of them and shared videos and other literature and have received very little feedback! The Federal grant money has won their hearts I am afraid!

At the Halloween Block party I personally handed Kevin Brooks, State Representative, 24th District a copy and asked him to read it and he assured me he would! I also asked him to halt the ICLEI/Agenda 21/United Nations led Chattanooga Regional Growth Plan, if only temporarily, to further look into what they are up to! To date, as of this article, nothing! No response about either! This is the disconnect of our local politicians to the people they represent that I have been referring to in past blogs! We have got to create change! Change comes from within the machine!

WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT?

It’s been said that over time we can do anything we really want to do. We can eat an elephant if we take it one bite at a time. This is the concept behind a group of elitist people who would like to take over the world, including America, and in the process take our precious freedom from us. Now that sounds like a radical statement, but hear me out and then make your own judgment as to how radical it is. Sometime back a thoughtful reader sent me a booklet titled, “Understanding Sustainable Development – Agenda 21 – A Guide for Public Officials.”
Please note that the concept of Sustainable Development and the danger it poses is directed toward public officials and not so much to ordinary citizens like me, and maybe you. However, after reading this booklet over several times, I felt it was something we all should know about, and then if our public officials won’t act we will know what to do.
First, what is Sustainable Development? As used in this context, it is a “buzz” term that refers to a political agenda rather than an objectively sustainable form of development.
Specifically, it refers to an initiative of the United Nations (U.N.) that took place around 1987 called the U.N. Sustainable Development Agenda 21, the most comprehensive statement of political ideology that is being progressively infused into every level of government in America. Agenda 21 was unveiled in 1992 during the United Nations Conference on Environment and Development, commonly known as the Rio Earth Summit, where more than 178 nations adopted Agenda 21 and pledged to evaluate progress made in implementing the plan every five years thereafter.
This was never authorized by Congress because they used a technique called “a soft-law policy recommendation” not a treaty, and therefore needs no ratification. This was signed off on by former presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, so the implementation is occurring on a non-partisan basis. There is far too much information to cover in one column, but it basically comes down to taking away our freedoms by restricting and controlling land use. If you do not think that is important, listen to these words by two other former presidents.
“Private property must be secured, or liberty cannot exist,” said John Adams. “Private property and freedom are inseparable,” said George Washington. And then these words from the Declaration of Independence: “…all Men….are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness.” Here is the real rub and why we must be diligent to protect our rights and our freedoms: Rights found in the United Nations Charter and the Declaration of Human Rights are NOT granted and rescinded by their creator, but by men. Now that sounds like socialism to me.
Sustainable Development is a plan for global control, including America, using land and resource restriction, social transformation through education and other programs to accomplish this end. This is why our public officials must know about this and combat it if we are to remain a free people. The two key programs are called “The Wild-Lands Project” and its urban counterpart “Smart Growth.” The plan is to eliminate human presence on at least 50 percent of the American landscape and to heavily control human activity on most of the rest of American land. No land — no freedom. It is important for all of us, especially our public officials, to understand the concept of Sustainable Development. Hungry Wolves, Kings, Peasants, Higher taxes, Costly Growth Plan, in Bradley County? Time for change!

As many of you know we are heading toward a financial disaster for our town if the Growth plan goes forward as many in local government predict it will. We will be faced with a huge tax burden that will reach even into our childrens childrens future.

Billions of dollars from you and a promise from the Federal Government to provide your tax dollars to supplement this effort.

Speaking recently to a County Commissioner who will remain unidentified, because I did not disclose that I may use this in this article, but he relayed to me that he doubts future money will be there in the form of “stimulus money” in the years to come and look where we are at that point. Up to our necks in this growth project and the funds are cut off. What will that do to our coffers.

Right Mr Commissioner, not only is the Federal Government not sending our tax dollars back to us we will have to go after more at the local level in the form of a property tax or other taxes too.

Do you know how many people see our bodies and land as a tax revenue source…..bunches. They stare at you and everytime they see you they salivate, dollar bills flash in front of them like a wolf views a bloody piece of meat. (To be honest have never seen a wolf stare at a bloody piece of meat, but I have an imagination) And we are to date allowing them to do whatever they want especially as it relates to our schools.

Enough is enough Bradley County and City elected officials. We are staring at a huge beast and it fangs are glaring and the growl is at a low rumble (like the wolf staring at the bloody piece of meat, I was hoping I could use that description again). We are in the belly of the beast and our future is in the hands of the County Commission, the City Council and its Mayors.

There is something fundamentally wrong with a group of elected officials who are ignoring the cries of its citizens in hopes that someone will plant a dollar bill in their hand. Makes me want to pull what little hair I have left in my head out.

Do they not see it or are they ignoring the obvious manifestation of an ill thought out plan with a diabolical outcome. The masses must speak up on this issue.

The Nation is watching Bradley County, the eyes are upon us and our elected leaders. The County Commission has the opportunity to do the right thing and be a saving grace to our community. Lets hope they dont get distracted by the dollar signs and the minions on these Non Governmental Boards who are driving this! Lets rethink this!

Lets get the Federal Government out of our decision making at the local level and do as the state has asked us to do per public act 1101. Lets get together with the cooler heads that are prevailing here and rethink the requests of the 1101 State Act which requires us to have a growth plan or repeal the act all together. We can do that too!

Lets rethink through this and see if we can come up with an alternative plan to thwart the astronomical costs of doing it the way of the federal government and International bodies that are trying to gain ground on our freedoms. Something else must work better. Swallow the costs associated with the many misled opinionated consultants that have led us astray, forgive the politicians who know not what they have done to potentially bankrupt the City and County, forgive the few gainly professional politicians who hold state board positions who give the iron fist when negotiating and pushes their agenda down the throats of those that have a soft backbone and no padding on the behind.

Those who stare you down when you walk in the room trying to intimidate the concerned citizen, forgive them all and lets start over, with citizen input. Lets get the beuracrats, the politicians, the minions, the NGOs, the people who stand to benefit from the billions and will quickly line their pockets with taxpayer money, away from the decision making.

Where have we gone astray! Our forefathers warned us and gave us the ammunition to arm ourselves when our government at any level becomes a monarchy. Grab the Constitution Bradley County it is time to go to war, to use the constitution and remind these politicans, especially the professional ones that they work for us and we do not have to be intimidated with their tyranny.

King George had his day and believe me their are several King Georges in our midst. Time to run them accross the pond as we did a few hundred years ago. The kingdom is being built, the Kings are gaining strength and the peasants are tired of all the new taxes being forced upon them. Its time to stand up!

Lets bust up the “good ole Boy network, expose them and proverbally cut their heads off at the ballot box.Lets defang the wolf, lets vote out the Kings, rid our county of the costly Growth Plan, thwart and divert higher taxes, its time Bradley County!!!
