We are truly blessed to have the best EMS service here in Cleveland and they are needing our help. Due to the economy, budget cuts etc these guys have been forced to become creative to fund their frontline EMS crew with the gear necessary to perform their day to day functions safely and effectively.
It’s simply outer gear, a coat. But to them it’s essential gear. This gear makes them more visible, keeps them insulated from the elements and to carry needed supplies as they respond to a call from you for their assistance.
Let’s rally to these guys who are truly unsung heroes and will work their tales off to make sure you stay alive. Donate what you can to the website below, its simple. Most people are donating 25 dollars some even purchasing a whole jacket for 125 dollars.
Please pitch in what you can. I know there are good people out there. Let’s extend our thanks to them for the fantastic job they do.
I am asking my 50,000 or so readers to chip in what they can and help these guys who are laying it all on the line for us!
Coats for EMS CLEVELAND, TN
I am trying to raise money to help our service purchase new outerwear for our employees.
We strive to provide an unmatched service to this community. Hopefully you have never required our services, but if you do, rest assured you will receive nothing short of excellent care.
We have a small group of 95 men and women that provide emergency medical care to a 330 square mile area. The population of Bradley County exceeded 100,000 residents in 2012, which is over 1,000 residents per EMS worker. We operate 5x 24/7 units, 2x 16-hour daytime units, and 2x 8-hour daytime units. Our call volume exceeded 22,000 calls in 2012, which is pretty significant for us. We work long and hard to make sure you are cared for in your time of need.
Unfortunately our service has made sacrifices to keep up with the ever-growing need for emergency medical coverage. Supplies, equipment, ambulances, and personnel don’t come cheap. An unstable economy, local budget cuts, increased supply requirements, drug shortages, rising fuel costs, and unit maintenance have all but depleted our financial capabilities.
These new jackets (5.11 Responder Parkas) will provide durability, comfort, uniformity, protection from all weather hazards, high-visibility, and safety from blood borne pathogens and other biological hazards.
We have set a goal of $20,000, and we will have 30 days to reach this goal.
This amount will purchase approximately 60 jackets. The amount needed to provide a duty jacket for all of our employees that work 40 hours a week on the ambulance.
With the support of our families, our friends, our neighbors, our colleagues, and our community, which we so proudly serve, WE CAN REACH THIS GOAL!
DONATE TO HELP US, HELP YOU!
