The Office of New Americans has recently celebrated its first birthday and has a new Director.

The Mayor of Nashville Meagan Barry has hired Vanessa Lazon, a Peruvian born immigrant who came to the Nashville area and attended Glenville High School.

“Nashville is a stronger city because of the many different cultures and communities that come together to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all,” said Mayor Barry. “Vanessa will play an important role in creating a stronger bond between our government and the many immigrant and refugee communities that strengthen the fabric of our city.”

“The Office of New Americans will be a part of the Mayor’s Office of Neighborhoods and Community Engagement and will serve to fulfill their joint mission of amplifying the voices of all Nashvillians in the governing process.”

It’s sorta like a government welcome center for illegal and legal immigrants. A place that cuts through all the red tape and makes it easier for the foreign born immigrants to get a foot hold in the community and become leaders in our community.

Lazon has been very busy with projects to allow immigrants to be included in the day to day activities in and around Nashville encouraging them to be leaders in our community.
The MyCity Academy has recently graduated 30 new immigrants from the program. This program takes foreign-born people and immerses them in everything Nashville.
“They get to learn basics of Nashville history, recycling water, Metro services, all kinds of stuff that is helpful when you come from another country,” said Lazon. “Some of those things aren’t on your radar.”

“Then they are able to become leaders of their respective communities.”
The second program is the Parent Ambassador Program where 20 foreign parents are acclimated into Metro schools to help new foreign parents.

The third role is to help individuals who need a lawyer to help finalize their citizenship.

“It’s important, she says. That safety for family and being a permanent resident provides (them) more chances to go to work,” said Lazon.

“We are all in this together and we are working together,” said Lazon. “You benefit, I benefit, we all benefit. It’s not you versus them or us versus them.”

Nashville Mayor Megan Barry had this to say about all the excitement of new foreign born immigrants coming to our area,

“Our Islamic community makes us stronger and better, too. We are proud to be a city where Muslims can live and work, a city where Muslims can play and pray, a city where Muslims can start families and start businesses.

With nearly 80 new foreign immigrants moving to downtown Nashville every day and nearly 30,000 per year you are obviously going to need a government welcome center in place to accommodate this many people.

Nashville has about 76,000 new immigrants, about 12 percent of the total population. You can drive down about any Nashville road and see the influence of immigrants on the downtown area.

You can see signs for Little Turkistan, Little Mexico and many other ethnic billboards introducing new businesses, enclaves and communities separate from the usual climate, where many do not assimilate.

It is estimated that 90 percent of these immigrants are on welfare for an extended period or for life. This begs you to ask where will the breaking point be for our state. With 30,000 plus immigrants being coerced to our area every year, when will the money run out or become a serious burden on the taxpayer.

With Mayor Meagan Barry at the helm and other spiritual leaders such as Rev. Judy Cummings, senior pastor at the New Covenant Christian Church; Rabbi Mark Schiftan of the Temple Congregation Ohabai Sholom; Nashville attorneys Abby Rubenfeld and Gregg Ramos; as well as human relations commissioners Samar Ali and Aisha Lbhalla and several Metro Councilmen working hard to accommodate all these foreign born immigrants, you can see that eventually the city will need some financial assistance very soon to finance this venture.

I have currently been unable to access any information as to the cost of these programs or the budget numbers for these newly formed departments. Perhaps a loyal reader has those numbers or access to them

I am fairly confident that Governor Bill Haslam has the numbers, he just needs to release them.

Why is it that the Governor seems to find his candidates for office from the same controversial law offices. 

Is this the only pool of which to pull new hirees from? Is this the only place to find a state leader? Why does he keep going to the same bank? Connections? Good ole boy network?

Does It have anything to do with his family company who relies heavily on middle eastern oil and has made billions from these transactions?

The liberal decline of our state only deepens knowing his latest appointee Kevin S. Huffman was married to Michelle Rhee and have two children in our TN school system. This seems like another benign decision till you view the implications.

Rhee is mockingly called the mother of extremist education reform, who happens to be anti union, pay based in merit pay, a pro charter school advocate that rids school systems of boards of education, who just happens to be implicated in the largest scandal in DC history as the Commissioner of Education.

Michelle Rhee is also the CEO of Students First who seems to have many funds to pay off our elected officials to get her radical education reform ideas enacted.

 State Representative Kevin Brooks and State Senator Todd Gardenhire have received 5,000 dollars each to their campaigns to implement school reform, ie, Common Core in Tennessee. 

She is a little too close to the action for my comfort. Her money influence can only be led to believe that her ex husband and father of her children are influencing his decisions while giving her the inside track on spearheading radical education reform in Tennessee.

I’m sure Kevin Huffmans ears are hurting from his ex wife steering him in the direction she wants.

How can we allow State Representatives, State Senators and Governors to receive money while gambling on the lives and futures of our children. 

This hiring of questionable characters by our Governor is irresponsible and leads to many decisions that we have not felt yet. 

The idea that we must provide an environment for sharia compliance while radically reforming our educational system does not seem to be the direction our state needs to take.

Sure, it’s a tangled web we weave and of course our Governor “coincidentally” pulling our state leaders out of the same lawyer gene pool may seem benign and harmless, but look at the level of influence on our state these two hirees have had on our state……fundamentally changing our state as we speak.

Once again the actions of a liberal Governor and his acceptance of the Islamic culture in our state has allowed Sharia Compliance to take root in our state and in our communities.

Segregated swimming this go around. Next it will be separate lines in restaurants, one for men and one for women. This sounds reminiscent of the 60s when racial tensions were very high. Why do we now accept this segregation and allow this to happen in the year 2012?

Its creeping Sharia and our Governor is allowing it, promoting it as a way to improve our economic status in the state. Sharia Law does not allow for equal treatment for men and women and does not respect our Constitution as a guide for their freedom.

Women walking 3 steps behind a man, segregated lines, no showing of skin in public, photos of, or simply the ability to speak while in the presence of their husband. Is this really where we want to be as a state? Do we want our Governor with his “open minded” approach to international business to allow Sharia Compliance to be the norm?

The next thing you know he will be bringing Islamic, middle Eastern businesses to Tennessee, perhaps with his oil connections and ex Obama mentor Samar Ali. Perhaps lure in an Islamic business with seed money of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood and have the ability to say, come to Tennessee, where we have gone out of our way to accommodate your Sharia culture! Gaurantee you this is the unveiled plan by our Governor and his liberal staff!

For now and it seems so benign and off the radar. Segregated swimming in a Knoxville Public pool, tomorrow, the Muslim Brotherhood sitting in our state chambers calling all the shots.

More and more, the Islamic beliefs are not interested in assimilating into American culture rather they are segregating. OBAMA appoints terrorist sympathizer Al-Marayati to OSCE post

Salam al-Marayati, founder of the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), was chosen to represent the United States government at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe’s (OSCE) annual 10-day human rights conference, the Human Dimension Implementation Meetings (HDIM). The conference concluded last week in Warsaw and Mr. al Marayati’s appointment to the delegation may have been largely overlooked due to the furor over the threats by the Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott to arrest OSCE election monitors.

Al Marayati has been widely criticized for his support of Hamas and Hezbollah; both listed by the United States government as terrorist organizations. Mr. al Marayati insists the groups are engaged in providing social programs and humanitarian assistance to the residents of Gaza and Lebanon and he refuses to condemn them for their repeated acts of terrorism; cynically referring to the murder of Israeli civilians as “quote unquote military operations.”

Al-Marayatis appointment by Obama was highly criticized in Jewish media as Counter-terrorism expert Steve Emerson told The Jewish Press that “Al-Marayati’s appointment is not just scandalous but also does incalculable damage to our values as a nation whose core principles categorically reject the legitimization of a racist supporter of terrorism, and an incendiary proponent of paranoid conspiracies that provides the motivation for radical Muslims to carry out terrorism.”

Al-Marayati was recently quoted as saying at an OSCE Human Right conference in WARSAW, yes home of the largest Jewish ghettos and population centers said, “the situation of Muslims as a religious minority in America.”  He quoted President Obama’s 2009 Cairo speech, in which he said, “‘it is important for Western countries to avoid impeding Muslim citizens from practicing religion as they see fit – for instance, by dictating what clothes a Muslim woman should wear,’” and called for “governments to ‘stop targeting Muslims through legislation or policy, and instead enshrine the ground of religion or belief as a prohibited ground of discrimination in all realms.”

Steve Emerson, one of the premier counter-terrorism experts, and someone who has conducted extensive research into Al-Marayati’s background, told The Jewish Press,

For this administration to appoint (Al-Marayati) to a human rights organization, who has openly supported Hezbollah, claimed that the FBI has illegally incited Muslims on terrorism charges because of FBI sanctioned policies of “racial profiling,” has defended as innocent the most notorious members of Hamas who were found guilty of laundering millions of dollars to a terrorist group, and someone who has complained of ‘having the Holocaust shoved down [his] throat,’ is an outrage.

Emerson suggested  that the appointment of Al-Marayati as a representative of the U.S. at one of the world’s largest human rights conference, cries out for a congressional investigation of the larger and more heinous scandal of the unprecedented degree to which the Obama administration has embraced and collaborated with radical Muslim groups in the U.S. whose lineage derives directly from the world wide totalitarian Muslim Brotherhood movement.

The larger picture of why there are UN/OSCE “poll watchers” in Nashville Tennessee and across the US to observe our next election is becoming clearer by the day as my research is revealing.

The deafening silence from our State Legislators, Senators and our Governor Bill Haslam is becoming more understandable as the days pass. The recent requests of the NAACP, SEIU and the ACLU to monitor our elections is suspect. The United Nations involvement in our elections, Former ACORN (True Vote) consulting with OSCE on what to look for in the way of Election fraud while being one of the worst offenders of election fraud in recent history is ascnine. The Reverend Al Sharpton sacheting his “brigades of poll watchers” into town to spew hate and promote racism would be comical if not so sad. Our elected officials allowing this to brew and spew over into our communities is rediculous and the integrity of our election potentially being jeopardized is disheartening and begs of someone to be held responsible for their open appeasement.

Furthermore, the Anti-Defamation League spokesperson had this to say about Obamas appointment of Al-Mayarati to the OSCE Commission: “It is regrettable that someone with such distorted, conspiratorial views—even with a lackluster apology—is delegated by our government to represent our country abroad,”

Rabbi Abraham Cooper, associate dean of the Simon Wiesenthal Center, argued that the State Department is showing inconsistency by touting an individual who has defended the militant groups Hezbollah and Hamas, both of which are designated by the U.S. as terrorist organizations.

“One would assume that individuals selected to represent the United States at an international human rights conclave would share our government’s longstanding policy that Hamas and Hezbollah are dangerous terrorist organizations,” Cooper told the Free Beacon. “But Mr. Salam al-Marayati and his organization are long-time advocates that these deadly terror groups be removed from the U.S. terrorist list.”

“With terrorism continuing to boil the Middle East,” Cooper added, “the question is why the U.S. State Department would say he is ‘highly credible’?”

Josh Block, a former Clinton administration official who now serves as CEO of The Israel Project, said the State Department’s defense of al-Marayati lacks credibility.

“That statement, defending a person who is clearly a terrorist sympathizer and deeply hostile to Israel, calls into question the credibility of the person who gave it, and it raises a very serious question: What exactly is the U.S. government saying here?” Block asked.

“It is inexplicable and deeply concerning that a person who has suggested Israel was responsible for the 9/11 attacks and advocated for terrorist organizations including Hamas and Hezbollah, which has killed more Americans than any terrorist group except al Qaeda, would be described as ‘valued’ and ‘highly credible’ by our government,” Block said.

The State Department, however, defended al-Marayati’s participation, calling him “valued and highly credible.”

Remember, these so called “valued and highly credible” people are inside our borders, represented by the United Nations and are monitoring our elections and may even influence the outcome or spark riots in the streets if the outcome of the election is not to their liking.

God help us America. Our best hope is that our elected officials will wake up and stop this takeover of our government and everything it represents.

Small incremental steps are the “Projects” overall objective. The steady drum beat of infiltration into our society is the way this war is being waged upon us. The Holy Land Foundation trial 

The lynchpin of the documentary is found in the Holy Land Foundation trial, which was brought to bear by the Justice Department first in 2007 and then again in 2008 against the Holy Land Foundation, a “charity” that was later found to have funneled more than $12 million to the terrorist organization, Hamas. During the discovery process for the trial, prosecutors submitted 80 boxes of Islamic material including the The Project document. Strangely, “subject matter experts” were subsequently called in deemed the documents inadmissible as evidence. The identity of these experts or the grounds on which they came to their conclusion has never been revealed.

During the trial, five Islamists were convicted, including a founding board member of CAIR. Adopting the total liberation of Palestine from Israel and the creation of an Islamic state as a keystone in the plan for global Islamic domination;

Instigating a constant campaign to incite hatred by Muslims against Jews and rejecting any discussions of conciliation or coexistence with them;

Actively creating jihad terror cells within Palestine;
Linking the terrorist activities in Palestine with the global terror movement;

Collecting sufficient funds to indefinitely perpetuate and support jihad around the world;

Look at how many of the objectives have been fulfilled!

We have a fake president who is giving the Muslim Brotherhood your taxpayer dollars in the form of stimulus money to essentially promote Islamic doctrine that has as it’s main goal to destroy the very fiber of our country that makes us strong.

We have many inside our government who are more than willing to look past this project and dismiss it as an unbelievable scenario that will never unfold.

We have Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam who has stepped on the backs of Americans to embrace Islamic doctrine, accept Sharia Law, trading our sovereignty and perhaps paving the way for more family wealth.

These thoughts are only my opinion folks but the bizarre things he is doing leads me to think someone has taken over his brain and placed ideas down in it that are not protective of our state and nation.

The plan, which we had a hunch it existed but couldn’t see it because the approach was very insidious and masterful in its delivery. It has been a well disguised plan. It is working and we continue to allow the plan to go forward.

I just dont get it! Perhaps I do?

We do not live in America to be under the rules of Sharia, Islam or the Political version of Islam that is encroaching on us daily. The threat is very real. We will not and do not coexist with the doctrine of Islam. Notice I didn’t say Muslims. This is not about Muslims this is about the doctrine within the books of which they practice.

We are a free nation that is seeing a groundswell of the influence of Islam on it and our freedoms will and are being severely affected as our political system and our religious foundations are compromised.

Governor Bill Haslam opening the door wide for Political Islam is a huge serious mistake with many repercussions and an impact that will not be realized for many years to come. Because of his political correctness and naiveté he has complied to the rules of Islam and has forever compromised our freedoms. I believe with his recent appointee of a Sharia Compliance expert to a significant post within our own government he has put millions at risk and created an environment for and has planted the seed for future growth of Islamic doctrine and further religious oppression in our state.

The recent additions of a mosque in Murfreesboro and most recently on Brainerd road shows that the population in our area is growing and it’s influence is being assisted by Governor Haslams actions.

The churches are dead on this issue. 95 percent of pastors in this country are simply CEOs of a large 501c3 corporation protecting their assets and tax status instead of fighting for religious freedoms of their members. 5 percent get it and are being diligent but 95 percent are just businessmen in a cloak with a title.

While sitting with Dr Warner at lunch and looking for wisdom from a very wise person, I received my nugget. He told
me he was afraid the “Church is no longer a church of Christ, but a church of nice!” “Our churches have been squelched, held up by our inability to step out of the tax status that our government has used as the tool that binds them to political silence.”

We as a country must take heed and benefit from the wisdom of Dr Bill Warner. He speaks ominously and into the future. Our dismissal of this threat will be devastating to our freedoms, sovereignty and religious freedom. Islam will not just suddenly appear and wallah we are overwhelmed. It will be slow, methodical, insidous and purposeful over many years just as in history, as you will see in the videos below.

Haslams appointee Samar Ali interned for “Arab Bank” that laundered money to Hamas

Governor Haslams appointee to Tennessee Economic and Development Council appointee Samar Ali interned for the International Arab Bank and during her time there the bank was investigated and found guilty of laundering money in the 10s of millions to support suicide bombers of Hamas, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine. This recent appointment by Governor Haslam can’t make the Jewish community sleep well at night!

The New York based Holy Land Foundation was the US link to spread their money to terrorist based organizations like Hamas in the US and abroad, a close associate of the Arab Bank. Governor Haslam has now hired Mrs Ali, a Sharia Compliance expert to work within our own government.

Many Arab banks get away with “zakat” or “charity” as money to fund terrorists because for one it is “not politically correct” to say anything about it and two it is so layered with very little accountability as to where the money goes. While offering the same sanitized information as that coming from the Governor’s office, Rep. Debra Maggert (who has recently been relieved of her duties by her constituency) has suggested to her constituents who have questioned Ms. Ali’s appointment that they are simply overreacting.  Both she and Governor Haslam (who supported her in the primary and clearly needs to go because of his lapse in judgement) are appropriately focused on job creation.  As Rep. Maggert recently stated, “I’m squarely focused on the priorities of my voters: job creation and economic development” and help[ing] the private sector develop more job opportunities for Tennesseans.”

One question that neither Rep. Maggert nor the Governor are asking though, is, at what cost, in particular, the long-term cost to the foundation of our liberties?  Some have even questioned whether the Governor’s family Pilot gas business may be clouding his judgment.

Articles detailing a lawsuit filed in 2004 which is still on-going in 2012 involving this bank, refer to it by the shorthand “the Arab Bank”.  Information in Ms. Ali’s bio suggest that she was working at the bank during the pendency of the lawsuit.

In short, the lawsuit alleges that Arab Bank maintained financial links and funding for organizations and individuals involved in terrorism.  Specifically, it is alleged that Arab Bank enabled funding by wealthy Saudis to reach U.S.- named terrorist groups such as Hamas. Additionally, it is alleged that the money was used to induce volunteers for suicide bombing missions by making payoffs to their survivors.

The lawsuit states that Arab Bank financed Palestinian terrorism by “paying a ‘comprehensive insurance benefit’ of around $5,300 to families of suicide bombers on behalf of the Saudi Committee, a government-run charity”, and that financial records reflect that the committee wired this amount of money into accounts that families were told to set up at the Arab Bank.  It was reported that approximately 200,000 wire transfers were made totaling more than $90 million dollars.

Not only had the Justice Department started a criminal investigation in 2004, but in 2007, the bank was sued in a New York federal court by Americans and Israelis who had been injured by suicide bombers whose families had accounts at the Arab Bank.  The bank refused to disclose certain client records claiming protection under Jordan’s bank secrecy laws.  In July 2010, a federal District court judge ruled against the bank holding that Lebanon and Jordan’s privacy rules are void in matters involving terror financing.

A lengthy piece published in 2010 examined the bank’s annual reports and other related documents and reported the following:

A 2005 release fromm the U.S. Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and Financial Crimes Enforcement Network accused the bank of “failing to adequately control suspicious activity and for not maintaining proper anti-money laundering programs.” (the bank paid a $24 million fine for these violations)
A review of the bank’s annual reports over time reflected a strong connection between the political positions of the bank’s founders and the “provision of banking services to Hamas years after they were named terrorists.”
The 1964 annual report “celebrated” the founding of the Palestinian Liberation Organization and its mission as noted by the bank’s chairman to “return [the] occupied part of Palestine to the Arabs”
In 1968 the chairman’s message in the annual report cautioned that the Zionists posed a threat to the entire Arab world and that Arabs needed to “…sacrifice the lives and offer the money needed for the self-defense and for the liberation of their sacred places and all their occupied territories.”
More specifically, the suit alleged that at least 7 separate accounts “for Hamas-linked so-called charitable foundations facilitated the rapid transfer of donations (given by Arabs as zakat, a mandatory charitable tithe), between valid and efficient social-service groups and their sister organizations, the armed units that carry out the bombing attacks.” The suit claimed that Arab Bank used Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad “martyr kits” to make the payments to survivors of the suicide bombers.

With regard to zakat, one document titled “Calculating Zakah” found on the Amana Mutual Funds website (Amana is considered the leading shariah compliant mutual fund group in the U.S., see also Newsletter #16), has a section titled “Who Receives Zakah?”.  This section has a list including the category “in the cause of God (fi sabilillah)” which in the index in Reliance of the Traveller, cross-references to the section on “Jihad”. This is further explained by, section h8.0 in the Reliance entitled “Giving Zakat to Deserving Recipients”; section h8.17 is specifically designated for “those fighting for allah” (jihadist combatants) ”), and their families (e.g., support for families of suicide bombers).

Looking at Ms. Ali’s past political and professional accomplishments, such as co-founding the Vanderbilt Middle Eastern Student Association with a Saudi undergraduate and then later on working on behalf of the Palestine Diabetes Institute, one has to wonder where this “lifelong Tennessean born and raised in Waverly” (as described by Governor Haslam), developed her passion for all things Palestinian and Arab?

In a strange twist of irony, it seems that Samar’s father, Subhi Ali shares the same pro-Palestinian anti-Israel sentiment as those associated with the Arab Bank’s lawsuit. 

Regardless of your opinion on this subject one very strong opinion resonates from this blog and my mother still says it to this day and I even tell my kids on occasion “you are known by the company you keep!” For example, If I hang around and frequently visit a church, I am going to be associated with that church. If I hang around and intern at an international Arab bank that has been convicted of laundering money to and in support of Hamas suicide bombers then I am know by that association.

At the very least this should be investigated and Governor Haslam forced to answer questions instead of sweeping it under the rug just because a few people says it doesnt exist or isn’t politically correct.

That simple denial used to work before the Internet and it’s descriptive revelations that are easily revealed within a google search, not anymore. The truth can be easily seen and a simple naysayer no longer has influence.

We live in very dangerous times and breaches of our government security by anyone especially a Governor of our state should not go unanswered. We are hearing report that the Muslim Brotherhood has infiltrated DC and the White House and has many tentacles all the way into local government. Could this possibly be one of those tentacles? Why are we ignoring it and not connecting the dots? I would rather err on the side of national security than choose to watch as our country becomes unsafe at a time when it calls for us to be cautious.

Congresswoman Bachmann links Muslim Brotherhood to Government infiltration, Haslams appointee Ali has ties!

I am not completely sure what is going on in DC and Tennessee but i can sure tell you it is suspect, leaving some to believe that a plot to literally infiltrate our American form of Government and gradually make Sharia the law of the land or at least enough acceptance of it that Muslims live under one law and Americans under another, both totally equal but separate.

Many in DC have started making moves to prepare us for a huge onslaught of a Muslim presence and Tennessee and Governor Bill Haslam seems to be leading the way!

Every statement that I have made and will make is purely my suspicion based on fact which formulates to my opinion only. I used to say till proven in the press, but the press is all too willing to let this pass with hardly a mention in it.

The letter below by Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann is a bombshell to leaders in DC and it has shown a huge light on the subject. This letter was written just a few days ago on her letterhead and not a mention of it have I found on tv or the printed press. Please dont read this blog without reading the letter first. Pay attention to the details, names and associations and see how they point back to good ole Bill Haslam, Ali and their eager to please Islamic terrorists counterparts.

Our United States government being led by select Governors, seemingly Bill Haslam who in the last few months has definitely left his footprint on the crime scene. The Sharia Finance expert that he hired has direct involvement with many noted terrorists and was employed by The International Arab Bank, a partner of the Holy Land Foundation, spoken of in Bachmanns letter. This company was found guilty of funneling money to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood through established Terrorists and financial scholars. One scholar of whom she worked with and consulted with in Abu Dabi, Mufti Usmani.

Why is attention not being brought to this by more government officials or its citizenry. In legal lands this is sedition and what are we doing about it? In my opinion, Governor Haslams oil company leaves him suspect when the names of Hugo Chavez, the Muslim brotherhood, Ahmenijahd get named in the same sentence and connected scathing letters along with CAIR and other terrorist organizations.

Perhaps if the light shines brightly and enough attention gets drawn to this we can root out the evil that is permeating our precious land by willing inner participants.

In the meantime, stay diligent and inquisitive. Something is goin down and I’m afraid this is only going to get bigger. Many people are hiding things for some reason or another. It will be exposed and the truth will surface.

Governor Haslam, mockingly called Hislam has allowed the great state of Tennessee to be encroached upon and has opened that door ever so lightly to allow Sharia to sneak into our state and have a direct influence over our Economic and Community Development. Huge mistake and we will not see the enormity of this mistake as by design this is the way it all gets started, slowly at first then total control. One appointment at a time, one proverbial block at a time till the complete wall is built. The Muslims consider Sharia to be the ultimate law of the land, even above our own Constitution. Governor Haslam making this appointment has put every Christian and person in this state at a distinct disadvantage as he has essentially surrendered our sovereignty to a foreign entity who happens to believe that the only path to that euphoric abyss is total submission to Islam.

I can here the nay slingers even as I am typing. “Don’t you think that is a little extreme to think that way?” The gradual introduction of Sharia and Muslims into our culture is by design. Their influence grows into complete control of the economy and the culture then no one dares remove them. That would be politically incorrect. They are creeping in and our governor has opened the door. It’s time to replace the governor and put in a representative of the people who will protect our state instead of giving it away to Sharia influence.

An Unacceptable Appointment

Governor Haslam’s recent appointment of Samar Ali, an Islamist and professional facilitator in Shariah Compliant Finance, to head the International Division of the Tennessee Economic and Community Development Council has generated significant concerns among many Tennesseans.  Some (e.g., members of the 8th District Tea Party Coalition, the 7th District Tea Party and 9-12 Coalition, and other liberty groups around both Tennessee and the country) have expressed our outrage and disgust over this appointment to our elected leaders.  To be clear, our concern is not with Ms. Ali personally, but instead with the lack of wisdom Governor Haslam and his administration have exhibited with respect to the documented dangers inherent in political Islam and Shariah Compliant Finance in particular.

To further inform the citizens of the great State of Tennessee regarding the threat to our national security posed by political Islamists – a threat previously documented by numerous agencies at the federal, state and local levels – we have established the web site http://www.billhislam.com.   Our intent and hope is that as many Tennesseans as possible will become educated with respect to why this appointment and any other government sanction of Shariah Compliant Finance (SCF) and Political Shariah represent very real inherent threats to our state and country.  

It should be noted that “political” is the operative word in this discussion.  Contrary to what many members of the media and the Haslam Administration would have the public believe, we are not interested in preventing Muslims from peacefully worshiping as they please.  As constitutionalists, we staunchly support the free exercise of religion reinforced by the First Amendment.  Our opposition is to political Islam and the promotion of Shariah in our state.

Based on the definition of Islamist scholars, Shariah is “the perfect expression of divine will and justice and is therefore the supreme law that must comprehensively govern all aspects of life.”  Islam itself literally means “submission”.  It is no coincident that political Islamists adherents interpret that expression of divine will and justice to include such widespread Islamist brutalities as killing those that leave Islam and subjugating all non-Muslims by force, if necessary.

A world ruled by Shariah is the goal of organizations such as al-Qaida, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Muslim Brotherhood.  They refer to this as the ‘inevitable’ global caliphate.  This ideology directly led to the attacks on September 11th, 2001, as well as numerous other Islamist terrorist attacks preceding and following 9/11.

It is understood that not all Islamists are inclined to acts of physical violence.  Shariah also justifies the direct and indirect financial support of both violent and stealth jihad.  In fact, the term “jihad with money” was coined by the spiritual guide of the Muslim Brotherhood, SheikhYusuf al-Qaradawi. 

As a result of a 2004 raid in Annondale, Virginia, the FBI discovered the blueprint for the Muslim Brotherhood’s plan for stealthily taking over America utilizing “Civilization Jihad”.  Civilization Jihad specifically incorporates the use of Shariah Compliant Finance and zakat, or Islamic charities.  Civilization Jihad also involves infiltrating and taking over institutions and businesses.  Of course, increasing political influence is also a key component.

In order for political Islamist to accomplish their stated goals, they note that the use of deception is required.  The history of political Islamist conquest reveals they will be nice to us and hide their true intentions only as long as necessary.  In fact, this principle of deception is codified within Islamist doctrine via taqiyya (sanctioned lying and deception) and hudna (the making and breaking of agreements based only on whether it is advantageous to the Islamists).  

Whether furthering Civilization Jihad or funding Taliban IED attacks on U.S. troops, Shariah Compliant Finance has been repeatedly documented to be one of the financial vehicles used to further both the violent and stealth goals of political Islamists – their ultimate goal being the establishment of total Islamist global domination.  Unfortunately, we now have an influential state official whose self-declared expertise is Shariah Compliant Finance.

The fact that all of the above information is well known and easily verifiable brings the judgment of the Haslam Administration into question.  Not only have numerous federal convictions been secured against Islamists using Shariah Compliant Finance and zakat to fund Islamist terrorism, the facts are known to anyone who has ever done even basic research on radical Islamist organizations.  How can these same facts not be common knowledge to the Tennessee Department of Homeland Security and the Haslam Administration?

The question remains to be answered as to why the Haslam Administration specifically elected to make the political appointment of Ms. Samar Ali to the position that oversees Tennessee’s international trade offices.  It is puzzling that an internationally known expert, facilitator and advocate of Shariah Compliant Finance is seen by Governor Haslam to be more qualified than other candidates well versed in the promotion of Tennessee industry.  Governor Haslam and his staff have yet to seriously address this critical question, instead choosing to respond to inquiries with diversionary strawmen and attacks on those with legitimate concerns.

Perhaps Governor Haslam places great faith in the judgment of the Obama Adminstration since Ms. Ali did serve as an Obama Administration White House Fellow.  Perhaps the governor believes that Ms. Ali’s former top secret security clearance granted when she worked with Janet Napolitano’s senior staff at the Department of Homeland Security makes her trustworthy.  If so, Governor Haslam should also consider Napolitano appointee Mohammed Elibiary who held top secret clearance and membership on Napolitano’s advisory committee despite praising Iran’s Ayatollah Khomeini and former Muslim Brotherhood leader Sayyid Qutb at a 2004 conference in their honor.

Ms. Ali’s appointment may represent a pattern of behavior for Governor Haslam with respect to the using state government for the preferential promotion of Islamist principles.  In November of 2011, the governor signed a partnership with the American Muslim Advisory Council (AMAC).  We can only imagine the outrage if he were to sign a partnership with a Christian equivalent!  The AMAC partnership was made surreptitiously and later deemed unconstitutional by the Tennessee State Attorney General.  Even more troubling are the ties between the AMAC and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Regardless of whatever justification or rationalization Governor Haslam may be invoking with respect to his administration’s decisions to promote political Islam, the end result is the same. Our Governor is using state funds and influence to assist in the promotion and entrenchment of Shariah.  To say Governor Haslam’s actions in this regard are a slap in the face to the families of those who have lost fathers, sons, brothers and friends protecting our nation from the war of terror initiated by political Islamists is a gross understatement!  For those of us who have lost loved ones in this ongoing war, Governor Haslam’s actions are as despicable as spitting on their graves.

When all is said and done, there is no level of economic benefit that Samar Ali’s “abilities or qualifications” can bring to the State of Tennessee that will make this appointment right.  If anything, the position to which Ms. Ali was appointed should be filled with a Tennessean whose abilities and qualifications clearly coincide with the promotion of the products of Tennessee’s industries.  If Governor Haslam intends to make political Islamist approved financial instruments one of those industries at the risk of a percentage going to fund Islamist terrorism, we do not believe the vast majority of Tennesseans will support his pursuit of money stained by the blood of those who truly understood the threat posed by same. 

It is frightening to think what tenet of Shariah Governor Haslam will next seek to promote.
