Bradley County Schools Director Cash says “information about Islam is  “just a tool” teachers can use.

The Cleveland Bradley Ministerial Association conducted a question and answer session recently in Cleveland Tennessee, inviting several local and private education leaders to share topics that are going on in their school systems.

The association is seeking ministers and educators to come together to unite in their efforts to to enhance goals that will improve literacy scores across the county.

According to the Cleveland Daily Banner, a forum of four local leaders spoke to the group Wednesday: Dr. Bill Balzano, president of Tennessee Christian Preparatory School; Dr. Linda Cash, director of Bradley County Schools; Dr. Jeff Elliott, supervisor of curriculum and instruction for Cleveland City Schools; and Ramona Kim, principal of United Christian Academy.

Among the goals discussed was our county wide literacy rate of around 50 percent, Superintendent Linda Cash called this unacceptable.

Many of the leaders provided input into what could make our schools better and what could better prepare them to excel and prepare them for college and beyond.

In summary from the Cleveland Daily Banner article, among the subjects listed to raise the schools literacy rates were promoting Coach Dungys book, “An Uncommon Life”, Read 20, dance and music classes, the “one-to-one initiative”, early reading and math, improving graduation rates and ACT scores, walkingthe halls praying, providing meals for teachers, landscaping schools, learning of their personal faiths, the K-12 program, etc.

After the introduction and small talk, in a question and answer session, the blended group was directed to Common Core, referring to the The Shahada and the 5 pillars of Islam being taught in public schools by an unnamed group member.

The Cleveland Daily Banner said the organizations unnamed member asked the school leaders about the religion of Islam being taught in schools, calling it “a harmful virus.”

“The unnamed source referenced information about Islam allegedly being taught in seventh-grade history classes  in Tennessee public schools.”

TN Christian Preparatory Schools Director Dr Bill Balzano spoke first and said “Though there may be information about something in a textbook, he said one must actually look at an individual teacher’s syllabus and curriculum map to see what will be covered and when.”

“Though TCPS is a Christian school, he noted junior and senior students are taught some passages from Islam’s governing book, the Quran, in their Bible classes. Balzano said students must know what other religions believe in order to effectively defend their Christian faith.”

Jeff Elliott the Cleveland City Schools director of instruction and curriculum said “Cleveland’s schools do not push one religion over the others, and all classes are being taught in accordance with state standards which dictate students learn about religions to help them understand history.”

“Cleveland City Schools has also seen a continually increasing population of students learning English as a second language, and he said schools are seeing more students from families practicing different religions.”

“Elliott said students learning more about other religions can help them better relate to other people.”

“He added churches have the most important roles to play in making sure Christian students are knowledgeable about their faith.”

Most interesting to me during this charade was the comments made by the new Director of Bradley County Schools Linda Cash stating “textbooks which may feature information about Islam are JUST A TOOL teachers can use. They have to follow the standards that tell them to teach about various faiths, but they can use a variety of resources.”

Considering the words of Cash, We have now evolved from a Christian based school system to the teaching of Islam as a “tool” to teach our kids.

She further stated we have to teach the standards (that contains the creed of Islam) to our children to teach them about other faiths.

Many would say the the public school system is not who they would prefer teaching their child about faith.  Many parents would gladly take on that task within the family and at their places of worship.

Cash continued, “teachers are not going into a tremendous amount of depth when talking about religion.”

“Nothing is taught in isolation,” Cash said, adding that no one religion is taught without the others.

I deem it ironic that not too long ago the Christian faith and prayer were literally removed from our schools and now that Islam wants us to be inclusive, we teach all religions now!

Dr Linda Cash has now endorsed the teaching of Islam in our Bradley County Schools. Regarding my own children, they have had little exposure to Islam or other faiths in school to date. With her statement supporting teaching Islam as a tool, it may drastically change the teaching environment as teachers may see her comments as a green light.

Dr Linda Cashs statements could potentially lead to handing our kids over to the influence and will of Islam.

Maury County TN Schools, particularly Spring Hill High School has been blasted recently for teaching Shahada and the 5 pillars of Islam, requiring their students to memorize the passage and proclaim Allah as the one and only god and Muhammed his servant and prophet, and then administering TCAP tests covering the subject. They were also told to write it on paper as “Allah is the one and only god and Muhammed is his servant” (see Brietbart news link below) All this under the direction of Common Core standards.

My thoughts are if it’s on TCAP, it must be taught in our schools, all of them. Thus, the emphasis on Dr Cashs words when she said teaching Islam is just a tool for teachers to use when they teach.

The Shahada is a very dangerous Islamic “prayer” for our children to utter while proclaiming Muhammed as a prophet.

It is multifaceted and has many tentacles and is the creed for Islam.

In very simple terms, by comparison, it’s basically the Christians version of the “Road to Salvation, the Romans Road, the Sinners Prayer or the path to salvation with specified duties to live a faithful life.

In Islam, to become a Muslim according to the Koran, the Hadith and the teachings of Muhammed you must say a prayer or passage to gain entrance to Jennah (Paradise) and to become a devout follower of Allah via Muhammed. That prayer is the Shahada and its proclamation that Allah is the only god and  Muhammed is the prophet. This is the  same prayer that our kids are memorizing and TCAP testing on.

The following is a direct quote from an Islamic website on the subject of Shahada.

“The complete statement of the creed of the Muslim is:
“Ash-shadu anna Laa elaha illa lah. Ash-shadu anna Muhammadar Rasoolulah.” (I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger).

“Every Muslim has been taught that the key to “Jennah” (Paradise) is the statement in Arabic:
“Laa illaha illa lah.”  (There is none worthy of worship except Allah.) ”

“Many Muslims believe that as long as they have made this statement, nothing will harm them. They think they will be granted Paradise because of this mere verbal statement of the Shahadah.”

“There is no question that the mere saying of the shahadah: “I bear witness that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger” is not sufficient for salvation.”

The article continues to elude to the fact that some Muslims only believe the Shahada is their path to Paradise when in fact the Pillars of Islam must be followed also.

“True scholars of Islam are quick to tell us that this testimony of faith is our “Muftah ul Jennah” (Key to Paradise). The famous follower Wahb ibn Munabbih was once asked;
“Isn’t the statement of “La ilaha illa-lah” the key to Paradise?”

He answered; “YES! But every key has ridges. If you come with the key that has the right ridges, the door will open for you. Yet if you do not have the right ridges the door will not open for you.”

Much like the Christian faith and the prayer of repentance, the mere words are not enough, but must be followed by the statement of baptism and living the life, such as obeying the 10 Commandments and following the teachings of Jesus and messages of God almighty.

The 9 conditions of the Shahada are known as:
1) Knowledge
2) Certainty
3) Acceptance
4) Submission
5) Truth
6) Sincerity
7) Love
8) Denial
9) Adherence

Your kids are memorizing this prayer and proclamation in your schools!

The Five Pillars of Islam is essentially their rule book for Paradise after proclaiming the acknowledgement of Shahada, Muhammed is the prophet.

The 5 pillars from the Hadith of Gabriel:

1) Faith or belief in the Oneness of God and the finality of the prophethood of Muhammad;
2) Establishment of the daily prayers;
3) Concern for and almsgiving to the needy;
4) Self-purification through fasting
5)The pilgrimage to Makkah for those who are able.
6) The one that is frequently left out for obvious reasons is Jihad or Holy war on non believers.

Your kids unbeknownst to you have unknowingly pronounced their faith to Allah and Muhammed through the Shahada and introduced to the 5 pillars to live as a righteous Muslim.

It is a stretch but like myself, to become a Christian I professed my sins and asked God to come into my life, and now your child by professing the Shahada and proclaiming Muhammed as his prophet and servant he or she has submitted and made a faith statement to Allah.

Think about it! If we use the same path of accepting Christ and uttering the sinners prayer to become a follower of Christ doesn’t it make sense that now, technically by virtue of a prayer, your child is now a follower of Islam and Allah?

What an evil and  ingenious indoctrination “tool” to deliver your your children to Allah . What a statement this makes to Islamic leaders who are very aware of what Shahada is and the tools involved in influencing your children.

Your kids under the direction of our esteemed educators and political leaders have created the path, the “tool” to expose and convert millions of our kids and submit them to the will of Allah.

The above scenario should enrage you! It amazes me at the lack of concern for what is being taught in our schools and the level of acceptance to co-exist with a political ideology that promotes the desire to conquer your country and dominate your religious beliefs.

Can you imagine the uproar if our schools chose to make our kids memorize the sinners prayer and the path to conversion, follow Jesus Christ, pronouncing him as our Lord and Savior? The roof would be lifted from these schools and every teacher fired but instead your child in essence has been converted to Islam and you stand unknowing and unaware.

Islam and the teachings of Islam has been creeping into our lives and now the conversion has been placed in overdrive. Stunningly, the reactionary silence is deafening.

I personally doubt Dr Cash knows of the extent to which Islam is trying to gain control of our children. I also doubt she knows of the level of
Influence her simple statement can have on our children’s life. But her acceptance of Islam being taught in our schools as a tool is well worth providing her with the knowledge to retract her statement.

Please contact her or the school boards and let her know her words can be very damaging to our kids.

Bradley County School Board says “NO” to Common Core

Bradley County School Board says “NO” to Common Core

2/17/14
0909 am

The Bradley County Board of Education in Cleveland Tennessee, has passed a  resolution that says no to Common Core, with all  7 board members voting unanimously in favor.

The measure was drafted by board member Charlie Rose, a long time board member with the ability to influence decision making in our county on school issues. Select members of the board to include Chris Turner, contributed time and facts to the compilation of this resolution.

The resolution addresses and cites  many concerns about Common Core implementation in Bradley County  to include cost, lack of teacher, student and parent involvement, inadequate testing components, teacher licensure and data collection of students.

Common Core has been labeled the nationalization of our schools by many critics with unique ties to socialism and a system of John Dewey and pedagogical theory.

Many have said it is another step toward Socialism by indoctrination of our children.

The realization of a top down globalization of our schools and how the federal government plans to control every aspect of your child’s education is a big motivator for stopping Common Core in it’s tracks and our school board has taken a definite step in the right direction by signing this resolution.

Common Core is heavily centered on teaching to a test without real learning of the basic tenets of education, like the three R’s. Teachers need to have the ability to teach without constant interruptions from the federal government.

This resolution has pushed the debate beyond talk, sent a strong message to elected and appointed leaders that teachers, parents and now board members do not want Common Core in our County.

Common Cores empty promises and unproven results with Socialist overtones has forced the Bradley County Board to act.

Local control of our schools must be established and this resolution sends that message.

Our school system as it exists in Bradley County already has higher grade standards and results than Common Core promises to achieve. Why change to a system that will at best dumb our children down to the national standard?

It doesn’t make sense and our local school board has pointed out this truth. Is “improving” our system worth a loss to our children?

The Bradley County School Board has responded positively to
parent and teacher concerns despite the continued efforts of Johnny McDaniel and Martin Ringstaff of their undying support of Common Core!

The likes of Bill Haslam, Kevin Huffman, Michelle Rhee and our elected reps have made good money off this venture and stand to gain even more  if Common Core is allowed to advance.

Some detractors claim this resolution has no teeth and carries no real weight. I also heard this with the Agenda 21 resolution coming out of our TN State house early last session. Don’t dismiss this as “just a resolution.”

Bold statements such as this carry alot of clout in this town. Many pushing for radical education change wouldn’t dare raise their heads and oppose a board that says no, political suicide comes to mind.

With RTTT/Common Core money already spent, our reality is now we have a burdensome, costly program lingering in our midst that smells of nationalization of our public schools with still no means to pay for it.

The Common Core debate has now been shifted from a conversation of heresay and rumors to one of confirmation with no doubt about the boards intent.

I emailed my first District school board member Chris Turner and asked for a statement from him regarding this resolution and how it was formed,

“The board was asked by the county commission to quantify the impact of common core implementation on our students and teachers.”

Mr. Rose was tasked with authoring the resolution and I gladly offered conclusions from my research.”

“Major points I thought should be quantified include the fact that costs for implementing PARCC have not been finalized or communicated to local school systems and the tax payers of Bradley County.”

“Also, impact on teacher evaluation of the global conversation to PARCC has no formal remedy.”

“The biggest issue to me has been the recent pro-common core message claiming improvements in test schools, such as NAEP,  as the sole result of radical reforms made by our Commisioner of Education.”

“The real impact to these results has been the meaningful changes in state standards made in 2009 implemented by our teachers.”

” Common Core is no silver bullet, Turner continued.”

“There are no quick fixes. Ask any classroom teacher and they’ll tell you that results take hard work and time.”

“The results we’re getting are the return on investment from the hard work of our students, parents, and our teachers,” he concluded.

These words by my representative are wise and was constructed from much thought, research, teacher input and parents concerns. These statements and the resolution were not made on a whim. It was well thought out and deliberate.

The message to all sent by this board is our kids are not for sale, our teachers are not puppets, the parents and this board are not idiots.

I believe it is important to review The main points inside this resolution and I have compiled it below.

These main points are from the Bradley County School Board resolution, shortened somewhat but content remains, a link is provided for exact details.

The Bradley County School Board Resolution on Common Core.

Click to access Bradley_County_Board_Of_Education_CC.pdf

1) The implementation of the Common Core Standards could be highly disruptive to student growth.

2) The CCS, Common Core Standards, with current TN Standards dilutes the effectiveness of teacher lesson planning.

3) The Board recommends that the use of PARCC assessment results not be used as part of TVAAS for the purpose of teacher evaluation, licensure, renewal or removal.

4) The Board rejects the collection of personal student data without consent.

5) Rejects the sharing of Personally Identifiable Information, PII, without consent.

6) The implementation resources of Common Core Standards for the teachers of Bradley County TN schools have been variable and dependent upon the source of training and professional development.

7) The variation above has created the opportunity for inconsistency of the implementation of Common Core standards.

8) Bradley County will be tasked with implementing Common Core Standards regardless of the fact that teacher evaluation and student achievement gains will be measured with EOC/TCAP assessments based solely on current TN standards.

9) It does not have a PARCC assessment plan that assures that every student in Bradley County will have equivalent instructional time to cover and reinforce standards prior to administration of PARCC assessments.

10) Will distort student growth data thence teacher evaluation as measured by the TVAAS system.

11) Has no money set aside for per student test adminstration for the current EOC/ TCAP test.

We the people have created this change. Concerned teachers, angry parents, tax payers and voters have spoken. The politicial puppets that beat the steady drum of Common Core regardless of the consequences on our children must now hear from you.

Let it be forever etched in every citizens mind that this week the Bradley County School Board in Cleveland Tennessee stood side by side many in the fight against Common Core.

The result is our children and their loved ones were considered. The elected body that represents them sent a resounding message and are willing to stand up against the grain and the lure of an almighty dollar.

I hope the news of this bold stance spreads across our state and nation and more school boards do the same.

Bradley School Board member Chris Turner sums it up best when he said,

“It (the resolution) expresses the facts and wipes away the opinions and rumors.”

“Above our lowly school board as elected officials, time and action will tell the story.”

Tennessee: 5 pillars of Islam replace 10 Commandments in public school, tolerance reigns supreme

Tennessee: 5 pillars of Islam replace 10 Commandments in public school, tolerance reigns supreme

Springfield High School didn’t miss an opportunity to display and essentially express their desire to show their tolerance for an ever growing diverse community at a recent open house for parents and returning public school children.

On display on the freshmen hall wall of the Robertson County TN school, the 5 Pillars of Islam were pasted “up and down” the hallway proclaiming the “rules” to be a good student of Islam, much in the way the 10 Commandments direct Christians.

Photo of one of many posters observed in hallway of Springfield High School in Robertson County, TN.

http://www.jewsnews.co.il/2013/08/08/tennessee-five-pillars-of-islam-in-public-school/

The 5 Pillars were youthfully drawn onto a white cardboard canvas complete with definition and meanings of the 5 pillars of Islam. Interestingly enough the 5 Pillars contained what is often considered the 6th Pillar called Jihad and was missing Zakat,Charity or the tithing pillar which most religions consider very important, more so than Jihad or Holy War.

I was informed of this display from a very concerned parent who sent me a picture of the “poster” displaying the 5 Pillars and said they were all over the place and was very concerned that one “religious” set of rules had been tolerated and posted on school walls and one was not.

The only problem, to date, is the 5 Pillars stayed and the 10 Commandments came down.

The Jihad reference is a very strong one as many believe it along with Zakat or charity is helping fund many of the terroristic attacks around the world against Christians and believers of Christ.

Simply put, Jihad is war against the non believers, the kafir, you and me, and promotes death as a certain end if you fail to convert to Islam. And our schools and leftist groups are not saying a word and allowing this to be promoted in our TN public schools.

It is evident that the only religion allowed to express their religion and political clout in public schools are the Muslims and the teachings of Islam.

This is indoctrination through prostelyzation to the Kafirs, our children.

If they can have this type of access to our children all or none should be able to do the same.

Allowing one religion to be promoted in our public schools and not any others shows a deliberate bias and deliberate attempt to make one religious concept acceptable over another.

A certain hypocrisy is displayed and begs for at least questions to be asked as to why this has been allowed in these “politically correct” times and what is their motivation?

It is extremely obvious that while one  side is attacking the foundations of Christ, it is allowing and ignoring “other” representation of religious display.

As seen in the references provided below there are mutliple attempts, successfully I may add, by the extreme left to squash the display of any Christian literature or  historical foundational documents from our rich national heritage. Religious display other than Christian seems to be acceptable in our public schools.

The cry for tolerance of all religions is quickly being discovered to be a push for preference while softening or eliminating the evangelical voice in our state and nation.

At what point does it become acceptable to condemn one religion and all it’s tenets for the promotion of another. Where is the outrage by Christians on this subject who have been silenced and their beliefs replaced with the 5 Pillars of Islam.

The driving force behind acceptance comes when the cry for tolerance becomes intolerance and vica versa. As one wise person has said before, “what is good for the goose, is good for the gander!”

How does this foundation of Islam get to be displayed and the foundation of the Christian faith, the 10 Commandments get attacked and ordered removed by numerous lawsuits forcing their removal.

I believe school leaders and teachers are joining the PC crowd so as not to offend, unless of course you are Christian.

Meanwhile, the 5 Pillars of Islam doesn’t even raise a bleep on the radar screen of  the ultra liberal groups like the ACLU and The Freedom From Religion Foundation crying for their removal, not a word.

These same groups, at the drop of a hat repeat the mantra that our school or public institutions must be free from religion and influence of the church. “We must separate Church and State”, yet remain silent when Islam or others push for the same.

Its obvious to me this movement is not about separating Church and State and freedom from religion, it’s about removing God from our schools and dismantling the Christian movement. This effort by the left is and always has been about that. It is now being revealed.

If the measuring stick was religious influence on our children the leftist and the mainstream media would have made a bee line toward removing the 5 Pillars of Islam from our public schools just as they have the 10 commandments. But it is not, and will not!

To me, the first pillar of Shahadah, there is no god but Allah and Muhammed was his messenger is the most powerful “religious” statement that is going unchallenged. To ignore the call for Jihad in the hallways of our TN public schools should not be tolerated in any civilized setting.

These terroristic expressions of faith and duty by Islam should be condemned by all, including the Robertson County school board, Springfield High School Principal, parents, churches, congregations and teachers inside the system.

Religious freedom, if you believe it, should be applied here in great force to any god or religion! Right?

Showing bias toward one religion and not another shows hypocrisy with a good heap of partiality for one “religion” over another severely weakens their argument that religion should not be in our school system. So, the logical solution and I’m playing the devils advocate, its all or nothing.

In case you have never seen or reviewed the pillars, here they are. This is what is being displayed in our public schools in TN as proven by many photos taken of their display and parents statements of kids inside this school system.

The 5 pillars of Islam:

1. The Shahadah
A statement of belief: I testify that there is none worthy of worship except Allah and I further testify that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.

2. Salah
Compulsory prayers that are performed five times a day.

3. Zakat
The practice of giving, based on accumulated wealth, and is obligatory for all Muslims who can afford it.

4. Saum
Fasting during the month of Ramadan.

5. Hajj
Make pilgrimage during the Islamic month of Dzul Hijjah in the city of Mecca once in a lifetime for those who are physically and financially able to perform it.

6. Jihad
Islamic campaign against nonbelievers:a campaign waged by Muslims in defense of the Islamic faith against people, organizations, or countries regarded as hostile to Islam

Wanna see the disparity and obvious  hypocrisy?

Please glance at these articles below then look at the “flip side” and see the counter offer by the left to drive the teachings of Islam mainstream in our public schools and the lefts silence and lack of resistance to this religious display.

A note worthy of mentioning is in my exhaustive research I found no item or lawsuit by the ACLU or FFRF demanding that the 5 Pillars of Islam be removed from any venue. I did find many supporting and even large corporations promoting their display.

The hypocrisy and one sided approach to “freedom from religion” is very intriguing.

Common Core: Our nations “money whore”

In Uncategorized on April 10, 2013 at 10:45 AM

Common Core our nations money whore:

In germany it would mean “Monetengeile Hure”

In the US Urban Dictionary it means:

Someone who loves money and goes to the extremes to get it

An (politician, added for emphasis), athlete, actor, musician or person in general who only does what they do to make money.

A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.

To accept payment in exchange for a performed act

To compromise one’s principles for personal gain.

Tennessee has clearly met the defined requirements above to be called a “money whore!”

In conjunction with 44 or so other states, Tennessee to date, has done the deed and accepted 500,000,000.00 dollars for implementation of RTTT, ie Common Core.

Thats half a billion folks so far to “reform” , “indoctrinate” or “nationalize” our public school system and steal the minds of our children.

The filthy bed we have chosen to lay down in is Race To The Top with Common Core as it’s enticing dirty little strumpet.

By accepting this ungodly amount of  federal grant money, our tax dollars, we have made the likes of Barrack Obama, Bill Gates, Bill Ayers and Rupert Murdoch our pimps with the stereotypical fur lined feathered hat, pink coat and rhine stone studded white pants with a flipped up collar. Yes, I said flipped up collar!

The streets of Education are busy tonight ladies and gentlemen and the federal education system is in business and ready to part it’s loins and receive the neatly wrapped gift called RTTT or Common Core.

“Race to the Top, abbreviated R2T, RTTT or RTT, is a $4.35 billion United States Department of Education contest created to spur innovation and reforms in state and local district K-12 education.”

“It is funded by the ED Recovery Act as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 and was announced by President Barack Obama and Secretary of Education Arne Duncan on July 24, 2009.”

Tennessee was the top dollar “money whore” in a nationwide “contest point competition that clearly showed the federal that we will comply and do whatever you like for that almighty dollar.

Delaware, another “money whore” was the other fair lady, or gentlemen that came in a distant second for their efforts.

The program or lurid transaction includes $4 billion for statewide reform grants and $350 million to support states working together to improve the quality of their assessments.

“We received many strong proposals from states all across America, but two applications stood out above all others: Delaware and Tennessee,”

Secretary of Education Arne Duncan continued regarding the announcement of the winners.

“Both states have statewide buy-in for comprehensive plans to reform their schools.”

“They have written new laws to support their policies and they have demonstrated the courage, capacity, and commitment to turn their ideas into practices that can improve outcomes for students.”

“As with any federal grant program, budgets will be finalized after discussions between the grantees and the Department, and the money will be distributed over time as the grantees meet established benchmarks.”

“The Race to the Top, Common Core, state competition is designed to reward states that are leading the way in comprehensive, coherent, statewide education reform across four key areas:”

“Adopting standards and assessments that prepare students to succeed in college and the workplace;

Building data systems that measure student growth and success, and inform teachers and principals how to improve instruction;

Recruiting, developing, rewarding, and retaining effective teachers and principals, especially where they are needed most; and

Turning around their lowest-performing schools.”

This well dressed lady of the night, ready to accept money for services rendered, looks good on the surface but lying underneath the satin skirt is a very different set of circumstances.

This “standardization” of our school system had failed before it took flight. Her street corner is not safe and is not yielding the results that she desires. The money received from the big pimp daddy government is not being maximized for our children’s gain.

Common Core is being portrayed as a “state” program, state written and controlled.

Common Core in fact limits state or teacher input to around 15 percent. The rest is dictated by the federal government. Thus setting up the perfect environment and portrayal of the typical pimp to hoe to John scenario.

Common Core via RTTT is a deceptive “Trojan Horse!” A national or federal program, dictating the curriculum by a national cartel, supported by Barrack Obama and the Department of Education.

Texas, Alaska, Nebraska and Virginia have refused it outright while Minnesota has adopted only the math portion.

Texas Governor Rick Perry had this to say about why his state opted out of Common Core, RTTT,  “we would be foolish and irresponsible to place our children’s future in the hands of unelected bureaucrats and special interest groups thousands of miles away in Washington.”

Former Assistant Secretary of Education Diane Ravitch, for example, commented that empirical evidence “shows clearly that choice, competition and accountability as education reform levers are not working.”

Protective parents, covert teachers, concerned citizens all over the nation have realized this about Common Core, RTTT.

1) This baited money whore drop or mandate between the states and federal government never saw one vote cast in Congress or our state legislature for it’s roll out. Obama went straight to our Governors with the big deal and Haslam and the likes devoured the yummy goody.

2) No vote was cast in favor of Common Core by a single taxpayer. In fact, many citizens, even our elected reps didn’t know that the Common Core standards were embedded inside RTTT and are very unfamiliar with it’s contents.

3) Our Governors signed on the dotted line, sight unseen, officially branding them as the ultimate “John” accepting the favor for an exchange of money. Essentially a bribe or enticement.

4)  Waivers were granted if they signed onto Common Core, they could get out from under the belly of another money whore product called “No Child Left Behind!”

5) The Obama administration has even threatened his money whore recipients with withdrawing “Title One Money” if they don’t comply, And with this grant money making up a huge portion of a states budget you know we are not gonna risk losing that. If I’m not mistaken, all but one school in Bradley County is a title one school. Thus our deep involvement and dependence on the pimp.

6) Cost of implementation will be right at 16 billion, possibly more by some guesstimations. We all know what happens when the federal government throws around estimates, it will be off by much. Computer and software are gonna be the biggest money whore item and we know who owns the software, the biggest catalyst of the standards, multi billionaire Bill Gates.

7) It is unconstitutional. A Nationalized, top down program is contrary to states rights and the constitution. Central control of our education system is not what our forefathers had in mind. This is how a despotic government and it’s dictators take over our children and our nation. Our forefathers deliberately left the word education out of the Constitution, the education of our children was to be left up to the states and directed locally and by the parents and local school boards, not the federal government.

8) The Department of Education Organizational Act of 1979, the General Education Provisions Act, the Elementary and Secondary Act of 1965 and the recently amended No Child Left Behind Act of 2002 spells out that “The federal Department of Education shall not be involved in developing, supervising or controlling instructional materials or curriculum!” So, why are our Governors lapping up every federal dollar to implement a nationalized government curriculum?

9) Did you know that parents and local school boards are supposed to be in charge of implementing it’s curriculum? Then why are we not assuming the wheel and driving our own curriculums?

10) Common Core will be tracking your child’s every move all the way into their adult years post graduation from college! A database is in the works to track things like fingerprints, height, weight, health status, reprimands, disciplinary action, grades and a host of other “indicators of success” throughout their lives.

11) Math standards are lowered, not improved. In fact, Algebra teaching will be delayed from the traditional 8th grade to the 9th grade. In two pilot states, Utah and Massachusetts, where Common Core math standards were implemented the scores were no change to lowered.

12) The English standards have cut out much of the classic English literature. In fact, the standards call for a reduction to 50 percent down from 80 percent.  Anthony Esolen, a professor of English Literature at Providence College states “What appalls me the most about Common Core is the cavalier contempt for the great works of human art, thought and literary form…We are not to be forming the minds and hearts of men and women. Frankly, I do not wish to be governed by people whose hearts and minds have been stunted by a strictly utilitarian miss-education!”

13) National tests will be tied to Common Core. This forces private and homeschoolers to either conform to Common Core or be at a distinct disadvantage because the CC curriculum was not adopted and they choose to take national tests that are often requirements for higher education. Teachers are forced to teach to the test, limiting their creativity in the classroom….nationalized education!

14) Teachers much like whores are forced to be compliant with Common Core or reap the strong hand of the biggest pimp, the Department of Education. Teachers know this curriculum or standards have a high failure rate and many items are unproven. So, the teachers comply, fall in line or risk losing gainful employment by speaking up.

15) The E-Learning market is expected to grow to 6.8 billion by 2015, up from 2.9 billion in 2010. Reaking havoc on state budgets.

16) Lets look at the literary definition of “Common” shall we. Ordinary. Of little value. Lacking distinction. Belonging equally to all people. Nuff said!

17) “A cartel of Chiefs” actually put the socialist program in ink, originating from the likes and mind of Terrorist Bill Ayers. The CCSSO, the NGA, Obama, FTA, Achieve, FTA, NEA, ACT and the College Board are the cartel. Hardly sounds like a state initiative to me.

18) A “suggestion input box” from State board members was the only influence the states had on the Common Core standards.

19) Common Core is an initiative of UNESCO, a United Nations subsidiary and a component of Agenda 21. It compliments the regional program Thrive 2055 and is an important tool to share budgets within our mega region and adopt regional teaching standards and curriculum.

At this point you can see we are well into this transaction of money whoring and while the money is good, and a state or Governor is willing to partake, the services will still be rendered.

In spite of the  light heartedness of this blog, you can see the dangers our children are facing.

We as a state and nation are being led down a very slippery slope with our federal government controlling our children and the input that they are receiving.

Our leaders are turning a blind eye to the indoctrination for the exchange of money. Our reps are remaining silent on this issue and in reality have been bypassed. This must be an awful, fruitless place to be and must bear a heavy burden.

What can we do? Continue applying pressure on these globalist, these pimps that are seeking control of our children’s minds and holding their hand out every time a dollar us offered.

Attend school board meetings and demand input. Call your board members, Supervisors of schools, Congressmen, Senators and Legislators, County Commissioners or City Councilmen and women.

Be very aware that for every dollar that makes it into our states from the federal government, many strings will be attached with many hoops to be jumped through to keep the money flowing and the agenda fluent.

This is where we stray and remain a whore to our own government and it’s eventual control of our communities, our schools and the mind and hearts of our children.

We only get one opportunity to educate our children. Implementation of a known failed system that deliberately dumbs down your child and has a track record of failure is not acceptable in our communities.

Continue sharing information. The difference can only be made by the parents demanding it.

The money has been delivered, the whore is delighted and the Johns are wanting more. A vicious cycle that must be broken.

This cycle or habit will be a tough one to break.

The pimps, the federal government and the Department of Education are well fed and deliver a powerful, swift hand to those hoes not willing to perform on the corner, in our communities for the minds of our children.

Have a blessed day!

State Representatives: Action not words against ACLU lawsuits on local Tennessee school boards over religion

In Government on January 4, 2012 at 6:54 AM

Over the last year I have witnessed school after school fold to the pressures of the ACLU. Soddy Daisy and Rhea County high schools most recently. The usual case is one person is offended by prayer either on the sports field or in the classroom and that is reported to the ACLU! I believe more often than not this person is a plant to divide the schools! In the two schools above it was rumored it was the same person complaining at both schools. It appeared the goal was set and obtained by one person.

I attended a rally in Soddy Daisy in support for school prayer on a football field. I was a little disappointed, thousands showed up and the park was full but it resulted in little more than a church service. No petitions, no long list of supporters signing or opposition that would amount to change. No goals,
No next step! Alot of effort, no result!

I contacted the Rhea County school board and superintendent and I couldnt get them to react! No resistance whatsoever! Nothing!

So here we are, essentially doing whatever the ACLU directs us to do.

Often was the case and it was muttered in a few of the conversations I had with school board leaders was “it will get too expensive for us to fight it. And that was that. The bottom line is the the bottom line!

I say we react back with a “shock and awe” of our own! Let’s overwhelm the ACLU with multiple lawsuits from many school districts. Multiple appeals, lawsuits that will put them in the same hole that we are in, cash strapped! Better yet, let’s call on the Department of Education to protect our kids! Now that is an original thought! Why does the DOE get an easy pass and are not defending local school systems, after all “its for the kids isn’t it! God knows they got enough of our money! Let’s spend it wisely for a change. Send a very strong message back to them, “mess with our kids and you mess with a whole slew of sue happy parents, school boards and blue haired grandmas with a purpose!”

Let’s force our State Legislators to stand up for the kids! When was the last time you heard of any legislator propose or pass legislation to protect our kids from the ACLU! Someone please tell me! I think too often we let our legislators slide and noone holds them accountable when it is warranted! After all are they not the “protector” of the state and our rights! One thing I do know for sure is they definitely have the ability to do more than they are currently doing!

Let’s do more than talk about this. Let’s contact our Representatives today. For the Bradley County area it is Eric Watson (author of the letter below) and Kevin Brooks. Call or email them today and demand something be done!

We have stood back and watched them too long, let’s set forth legislation to stop these attacks on our liberties. We can afford no longer to be politically correct, we must act and act now!

ACLU bringing lawsuits against local school boards over religion
by ERIC WATSON, State Rep.

The American Civil Liberties Union is at it again. The ACLU has brought lawsuits against local school boards in Tennessee, with the intent to limit students and teachers’ rights regarding religion. If you have attended any school-related events lately, you may have noticed in some cases the prayer has been replaced by a “moment of reflection” or a “moment of silence.”

In one school system, which has been under attack by the ACLU, fed-up parents began reciting the Lord’s Prayer prior to a football game and the entire stadium participated!

One of my general rules is local school boards should control education policy. However, it may be time to lay down some restrictions on the ACLU’s ability to dictate school board policy through aggressive lawsuits.

Here is the problem. Local school boards have limited funds. When the ACLU files a lawsuit, it is easy for local school boards to react in panic and begin changing local policy to avoid or settle lawsuits. This area of the law isn’t clearly defined.

In Wallace v. Jaffree (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallace_v._Jaffree,1985), the Supreme Court ruled Alabama’s law permitting one minute for prayer or meditation was unconstitutional. Courts have ruled that school children are in a controlled environment and therefore public institutions must be very guarded in allowing any religious expression. While adjustments and carefully crafted laws have allowed moments of silence, recently things have taken a turn for the worse.

Tennessee teachers have been disciplined for standing near football players while praying before a game and some teachers have been told not to bow their head during the moment of meditation that begins the school day. Believe it or not, in at least one Tennessee school system, a pastor or youth pastor is now prohibited from having lunch at school with a member of his church.

In the coming session, we will be considering legislation to strike a balance between student and teachers’ rights and the need to avoid establishing a state religion. We will hear from Constitution experts, teachers, students and even the ACLU.

Today’s students face many challenges. Teachers are under tremendous pressure to meet test score goals. At the same time, we are limiting the ability of teachers to build meaningful relationships with students.

Our teachers are professionals and are certainly capable of deciding appropriate communication and discussions with students without the heavy hand of the ACLU being involved. At a time when teachers are often a stabilizing force in a child’s life, do we really want teachers to fear sharing words of wisdom and comfort with students? If a child is having a tough time at home, do we really want to prohibit a pastor from dropping by at lunch? These new policies are so outrageous, how long will it be before a youth pastor sues for his right to have lunch with a church member?

This area seems to be a place where a statewide policy is needed. I will keep you posted as we move forward. Let me know what you think, and as always thank you for the honor and privilege of serving you in the Tennessee House of Representatives.
