Former Democratic Senator Elbert Guillory: “Why I Am a Republican”

Former Democrat Louisiana State Senator Elbert Guillory stuns many with his decision to switch parties and become a Republican.

This video provided  needs no explanation of it’s content. One only   need listen as this man eloquently explains what is happening in our country. 

He sees the moral and fiscal decline of our country being led by a leftist, communistic, socialist fake president. He captures the essence and heart beat of a generation that demands freedom from government enslavement that is begging for strong leadership. He masterfully expresses a desire to once again get off the government plantation that is binding the will of a free people and enslaving us all.

Please watch, then reread the transcript as this visionary allows you to hear the most inspirational speech many of us have heard in a long time.

Perhaps as this man leads the way, the Republican party will once again find it’s message from its early founders and capitalize on this mans message. He gets it and now let’s make sure the Republicans get it, let’s make sure all Americans get it. 

We have very little time to save our country and I believe this man has tapped into a vein of prosperity for us all that needs to be heard by the masses. He nails it!

“Hello, my name is Elbert Lee Guillory, and I’m the senator for the twenty-fourth district right here in beautiful Louisiana. Recently I made what many are referring to as a ‘bold decision’ to switch my party affiliation to the Republican Party. I wanted to take a moment to explain why I became a Republican, and also to explain why I don’t think it was a bold decision at all. It is the right decision — not only for me — but for all my brothers and sisters in the black community.

“You see, in recent history the Democrat Party has created the illusion that their agenda and their policies are what’s best for black people. Somehow it’s been forgotten that the Republican Party was founded in 1854 as an abolitionist movement with one simple creed: that slavery is a violation of the rights of man.

“Frederick Douglass called Republicans the ‘Party of freedom and progress,’ and the first Republican president was Abraham Lincoln, the author of the Emancipation Proclamation. It was the Republicans in Congress who authored the thirtheenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth amendments giving former slaves citizenship, voting rights, and due process of law.

“The Democrats on the other hand were the Party of Jim Crow. It was Democrats who defended the rights of slave owners. It was the Republican President Dwight Eisenhower who championed the Civil Rights Act of 1957, but it was Democrats in the Senate who filibustered the bill.

“You see, at the heart of liberalism is the idea that only a great and powerful big government can be the benefactor of social justice for all Americans. But the left is only concerned with one thing — control. And they disguise this control as charity. Programs such as welfare, food stamps, these programs aren’t designed to lift black Americans out of poverty, they were always intended as a mechanism for politicians to control black the black community.

“The idea that blacks, or anyone for that matter, need the the government to get ahead in life is despicable. And even more important, this idea is a failure. Our commnunities are just as poor as they’ve always been. Our schools continue to fail children. Our prisons are filled with young black men who should be at home being fathers. Our self-initiative and our self-reliance have been sacrificed in exchange for allegiance to our overseers who control us by making us dependent on them.

“Sometimes I wonder if the word freedom is tossed around so frequently in our society that it has become a cliché.

“The idea of freedom is complex and it is all-encompassing. It’s the idea that the economy must remain free of government persuasion. It’s the idea that the press must operate without government intrusion. And it’s the idea that the emails and phone records of Americans should remain free from government search and siezure. It’s the idea that parents must be the decision makers in regards to their childrens education — not some government bureaucrat.

“But most importantly, it is the idea that the individual must be free to pursue his or her own happiness free from government dependence and free from government control. Because to be truly free is to be reliant on no one other than the author of our destiny. These are the ideas at the core of the Republican Party, and it is why I am a Republican.

“So my brothers and sisters of the American community, please join with me today in abandoning the government plantation and the Party of dissapointment. So that we may all echo the words of one Republican leader who famously said, ‘free at last, free at last, thank God Almight, we are free at last.’”

Take hold of this thought process America. It is key to our freedom. The OBAMA administration has been exposed, now let’s create the change we want!

31 states submit petitions to secede from Union, TN and TX lead way

Please take the time to join in a peaceful revolution to assist many Americans wishing to exercise their constitutional rights to once again secede from the Union!

Log on to the White House site below, find your state, fill out a quick questionnaire and help us get the needed signatures to evoke a response from the Socialist in Chief.

No longer can we just stand back and watch as our elected leaders turn a deaf ear to the citizens of this country and continue to do as they wish regardless of the will of the people. No longer can we stand and watch as the constitution is being shredded by a disrespectful, fake president.

We are in a very pivotal time in the life of our country. Just as TN and other states seceded from the Union in 1861 soon after President Lincoln was elected President, so be it and very fitting that once again we must resort to seceding from the union shortly after the re-election of the fake president and Socialist Marxist Barrack Hussein Obama.

At the time of the writing of this blog, Tennessee has 17,427 secessionist that have signed the petition. Yesterday, we were at around 2,000. Today, we are almost at our goal of 25,000 signatures. Please sign this petition as we need to invoke a Presidential response and send a very strong message that you can’t continue to stomp on the citizens of the United States of America and ignore their constitutional, God given inalienable rights.

As the founding fathers of the United States of America made clear in the Declaration of Independence in 1776:

“When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature’s God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.”

“…Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, that whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it, and institute new Government…”

States where residents have filed secession petitions include: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, New York, Nevada, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Wyoming.

The petitions have been submitted through the White House’s “We the People” website, which aims to give “all Americans a way to engage their government on the issues that matter to them.” The White House promises that “If a petition meets the signature threshold, it will be reviewed by the Administration and we will issue a response.” The threshold is 25,000 signatures in 30 days and, the Texas petition has received enough signatures to meet the threshold of 25,000 and Tennessee and Louisiana are close behind in meeting their threshold. The end date for signatures to be collected is December 9th. Keep passing it around. Let’s not stop at 25,000!
